Although Mercyful Fate got back together nearly five years ago, the iconic Danish heavy metal band hasn't issued a studio album since 1999's 9. New bassist Becky Baldwin, who joined last month, confirmed in a new interview with the 'That Metal Interview' podcast the release date of the band's new album has been pushed back to 2025 so that frontman King Diamond can concentrate on his namesake band's upcoming record The Institute.

14 years after their last music offering Lustdriven, Finnish power metal bringers Kiuas are now back with a brand new EP dubbed Samooja: Pyhiinvaellus. The recordings for the EP are currently underway, with mixing handled by Nino Laurenne at Sonic Pump Studios. The EP is set to be released on March 1st through different streaming platforms, followed by a limited vinyl edition later in the spring.
