Vio-lence - Singer Undergoes Successful Liver Transplant

Vio-lence singer Sean Killian has underwent a successful liver transplant surgery earlier this week. The vocalist went under the knife on Monday at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), after his brother-in-law Kevin Rivero served as a liver donor. Both are recovering well at UCSF in the ICU.

Danzig - To Play Entire 'How The Gods Kill' Album

As part of the 30 year anniversary, Glenn Danzig and his band will perform Danzig's 1992 album, Danzig III: How The Gods Kill, live in its entirety exclusively at this year's Psycho Las Vegas festival, set to take place August 17th-19th at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. It will mark the only time "Danzig III" will be played in full in the U.S. this year.

Onslaught - Preparing New Album, Line-up Changes

Onslaught have informed that they are finally releasing the follow-up to their latest album, VI (2013). According to them, songs have been written, demo tracks recorded and the thrashing machine is racing forward at full throttle. With a release date set before the end of 2018, "this is shaping up to be Onslaught's most vicious and hard hitting thrash metal attack yet!" They also announced that drummer Michael Hourihan and guitarist Iain ''GT'' Davies have left the band.

Exciter - New Album Coming

The reunited original lineup of Canadian speed/thrash metal pioneers Exciter, which consists of guitarist John Ricci, drummer/vocalist Dan Beehler and bassist Allan Johnson, is preparing to enter the studio to begin recording their first album in more than three decades. the plan is to release it next year.

When Nothing Remains - To Play Live Again

If you are hoping to hear news about When Nothing Remains's new album, the latest update confirmed that the release is planned for later this year. In 2017, the band stopped all live activities, but they are returning to the stage now that guitarist Peter Laustsen has recovered from severe back pain. They will play live at the Moscow Doom Festival in May, together with The Foreshadowing, Officium Triste, Mare Infinitum and Restless Oblivion.

L.A. Guns - Find New Guitarist

California rockers L.A. Guns just hired a new gun. It's new guitarist Johnny Monaco (Enuff Z'Nuff) who has joined the group's ranks. He joins L.A. Guns as the replacement for Michael Grant, who left band earlier in the month. Michael Grant announced that he left on March 5th "to pursue other interests including his solo project, Michael Grant & The Assassins."

Sojourner - Announce First Shows As Full Band

Sojourner is a folk-influenced atmospheric black metal band from Dunedin, New Zealand including members from Malmö, Sweden and Bergamo, Italy. A few weeks ago, the band released their second full-length album, The Shadowed Road. Most recently, they announced their first live shows as a full band. Their debut show will be at the North of the Wall Festival pre-show on April 26th at The Garage in Glasgow and the second at Darktroll Fest in Bornstedt, Germany on May 10th.

Ozzy Osbourne - Is Suing AEG

Ozzy Osbourne is suing AEG, claiming the entertainment group is essentially blackmailing him to perform at the Staples Center. He filed an anti-trust lawsuit against AEG for its block booking policy requiring artists who want to play the O2 Arena in London to also play Staples Center in Los Angeles.
