2019 Grammy Awards - Best Metal Performance Nominations
The nominations for the 61st annual Grammy Awards have arrived. After Mastodon's win last year, the Best Metal Performance category includes Between The Buried And Me, Deafheaven, High On Fire, Trivium and Underøath this year.
"Best Metal Performance" category nominees:
Between The Buried And Me: "Condemned To The Gallows" (from the album Automata I)
Deafheaven: "Honeycomb" (from the album Ordinary Corrupt Human Love)
High On Fire: "Electric Messiah" (from the album Electric Messiah)
Trivium: "Betrayer" (from the album The Sin And The Sentence)
Underøath: "On My Teeth" (from Erase Men)
In other categories that might interest you, Ghost was nominated for "Best Rock Song" with the song "Rats" as well as Bring Me The Horizon with the song "Mantra".
Furthermore, Alice In Chains's Rainier Fog and Ghost's Prequelle were nominated in the "Best Rock Album" category. Chris Cornell's "When Bad Does Good" and Halestorm's "Uncomfortable" were nominated in the "Best Rock Performance" category.
The 61st annual Grammy Awards on February 10th at the Staples Center in Los Angeles and will broadcast live on the CBS television network at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.

I did't expect Deafheaven to be on here, but I was surprised by how much I liked their new album! I wouldn't mind seeing BTBAM, Deafheaven or High on Fire take this home even if a Grammy means jack and shit.
