Relistened to the two singles released, "Deliver us from Evil" is alright and "The Secret of the American Gods" is pretty good. I'm not too much into power metal these days but I shall keep an open mind and check it out when it releases.

"A Night at the Opera" is my favorite album from them, which I'm sure is not a popular opinion, ahaha.

Don't know if favorite, but one of their finest moments for sure.
Up there with "Imaginations" in terms of re-listenings

Hansi sings no more in the same way of Imaginations. It’s a different style. It’s not their best.

Well, that was almost 30 years ago. To have such a voice after so many years is nothing short of incredible.

This.
I alternate between Imaginations and A Night at The Opera a lot.
Started with one, love the other, can't be apart from neither.

Nice artwork, though different from usual. Previous songs are promising. Probably won't be their best album, but we don't even expect this.

When it comes to their best work, being a huge LoTR fan, I have to put my vote on NiME. Imaginations and NatO are right up there also. Definitely looking forward to this one.

As I understand it that wasn't a Blind Guardian song per se, just Blind Guardian playing the song of some game developers (or composers affiliated with those developers)

Ah, interesting! I assumed it was a similar situation to Sacred.

"Nightfall..." is also a top record, maybe too straight forward in the songs and too muddled by the many interludes. I like how Imaginations and A night, are a departure from their typical sound and yet deeply theirs.... (does that make sense?)

Sadly I haven't enjoyed their latest records much...

They're moving towards a more progressive sound, in their last release especially, Beyond the Red Mirror. The last release of Demons and Wizards was very good but unfortunately the last.

Well, the graphic artist (Peter Mohrbacher) has stated he was very fond of Evangelion when he did that cover art.

According to their singles for this album their music is returning to their basic Power Metal sound, and that's GREAT!

Same for myself. Imaginations and Opera are my favorite BG albums.
