Amon Amarth - Announce 'The Great Heathen Army' Studio Album


The mighty vikings Amon Amarth proudly announce the release of their next full length instalment. Entitled The Great Heathen Army, it will land in stores on August 5th, 2022. Other details are available below as well as the first advance single, called "Get In The Ring". The accompanying video clip was directed and edited by Dariusz Szermanowicz.

Some things never change, and some change unexpectedly.. Steampunk and guns in my Amon Amarth, that was very unexpected! Not sure what I think of it yet.

The music is alright, but sounds a bit too safe and flat. Would listen to that once in a while, but would still got back to old stuff when I need a great listen.

I liked it. Unoriginal but efficient. Vocals are still strong, and the riffs are good. Looking forward to the album

The song is alright, hoping for more of a classic AA sound with the album, but we shall see. Not sure about that album cover, looks like your average folk metal promo shot, not the cover of the next 'AA' album
