Dimmu Borgir - Announce Covers Album 'Inspiratio Profanus'

While waiting for inspiration to create new music, Dimmu Borgir herald their 30-year legacy by releasing, together for the first time, a collection of their cover songs. The album Inspiratio Profanus is being announced with the release of the first single, "Black Metal" by the extreme metal pioneers Venom. The outing will be released on December 8th via Nuclear Blast Records.

Statement from the band: "Message to you, The Fans, old and new! We thought we’d offer a little something while we are held up concocting new alchemic brews in our lab. Now, many of you have these cuts in your possession already, but nevertheless, we figured it’d be good to have all the covers we’ve done over the years compiled under one release. We aptly chose Inspiratio Profanus as the title for this purpose and we hope you’ll enjoy it as much as we do! Consider this a homage to some of the artists that have inspired us and still do."

Tracklist in the following order:

01. Black Metal [Venom cover]
02. Satan My Master [Bathory cover]
03. Dead Men Don't Rape [GGFH cover]
04. Nocturnal Fear [Celtic Frost cover]
05. Burn In Hell [Twisted Sister cover]
06. Perfect Strangers [Deep Purple cover]
07. Metal Heart [Accept cover]
08. Nocturnal Fear (Celtically Processed) [Celtic Frost cover]
