Belgium, Dessel - Graspop Metal Meeting 2010

Out of all the festivals that have already announced bands, this one looks the best to me. if they(Saxon) play just 1/3rd as good as at Wacken i'd be a satisfied man.

For the record, Saxon is not officially confirmed yet. But the rumor is just too strong to ignore. Plus, the band practically confirmed themself on their last gig here in Belgium.

Other strong rumor is Immortal. And I would also put some money on Kiss.

The line-up is going to be better than this year, that's for sure.

Looking at this year's line-up that isn't too hard (same applies for Wacken btw)

What? Immortal again? FUCK THEM. Rock City got canceled because of these idiots, i swear they'll have to pull out the BIG FUCKING GUNS(Priest, Slayer, whatever) if they expect me to come to Wacken, Hellfest or Graspop if Immortal is confirmed for GMM.

anyway Graspop(except maybe for this year) always had the best line-up of all the european festivals so my expectations are high, it's also my prime option since i could stay at my sister's place in between going to the festival and going back home... but the call of Wacken...... i'd return there any year.

And once again Graspop is being held during my exams... How can Belgians not know when the exams are in there own country... One week later and they would have thousands of people more

Romania's first large-scale metal festival, Rock City Open Air, scheduled to take place this August, was canceled due to 3 factors:
-Immortal pulling out(afraid they were gonna play in front of too few people : )
-poor ticket sales
-poor management(but this was the least of the reasons, all bands were paid for in advance including Immortal)

i was angry at that point because it would have been incredibly awesome, but now i realize it's their primadonna manager's fault.

Axel Rudi Pell are not officialy confirmed yet. However, keyboard player Ferdy Doernberg confirmed his presence on GMM. He plays both in ARP and Rough Silk. However, ARP are said to tour Europe around April or May.

Holy Moses and live keyboards? Last couple of times I saw them (and also way back when they had just strated) they didn't have any live keyboards.

Only on "special occasions" I believe. Like that Wacken show and the 25th anniversary gig of Doro.

Marcel, not to worry, he only plays instrumental passages (like the ones on Agony Of Death).

Aha, if it is only Wacken and special shows I don't need to worry. But then again Holy Moses is pretty dire live. So I won't be going to see them anyway.

Motörhead, Channel Zero, Amon Amarth, Obituary, As I Lay Dying, Ghost Brigade and Job For A Cowboy are confirmed.

Channel Zero indeed! Very glad they are back in business, hopefully they will stay together and release a new album. Looking at the 6 sold out shows in Brussels this month and a good place on the Graspop shedule that 's almost a sure thing.

Slayer, Anathema, Paradise Lost, Deicide, Cannibal Corpse, Unearth, plus some other bands also confirmed recently.

I'm hoping for some of the bands at Hellfest to come to Graspop. Bands like Swallow the Sun...
I'm quite satisfied already though.

Mastodon, Fear Factory and Stone Temple Pilots added to the lineup. And for some reason Eluveitie, Anathema and All Shall Perish disappeared from the festival's website.

Eluveitie said in an interview that they were coming, not on the site.

Oh yeah right, I've just seen it in the logs, and that I've approved it. Well, might be worth to wait until they get confirmed officially. It wouldn't be the first time that a band announces its attendance unilaterally, but never makes it onto the festival bill.

Is Anathema not coming? why? First they're on the list and now they're not, i hope that they still come, 'cause Anathema is very good
