One hell of a list you got there. Be sure to add the Horseback album when it comes out. Also, I know it's from November 2011, but it defenetly needs attention: Cult of Occult

Would be cool if you could post bandcamp links wherever possible
Did you like the new OSI? I found it quite bland compared to their previous releases, but I haven't given it too many spins. Maybe it will grow on me :/

Ok, I'll try to get the bandcamp links done. I have to talk to JOOE, he did a fine job on his list. The new OSI was what I expected from them, more of the same. That's fine with me, I like their sound.

Rituals was indeed good. Nothing original, but above average in the style. Ufomammut was kinda meh on first listen, haven't had the time to spin it again. I've always thought they're nice, their sound is very welcome to my ears and all, but I don't get that certain "wow" factor others seem to find.

Yea, Ufomammut isn't genre-breaking by any means but it's still good. I am a sucker for long, droned-out, post/sludge metal passages!
You definetly need to try the shit on this list Iron, most of it I know you will dig...

Don't want to be the "genre" guy but I see nothing sludge about P.H.O.B.O.S. at all.
I would call it simply Industrial doom (more industrial than doom though) with some slight black influences but nothing sludge in it.

That's why we all hear what we want to hear :0
For me Dr, this band reminds me of Godflesh so much that I can't help but put the sludge tag on it.

Not when it comes to genres... that is called "being wrong". Hehehehe
Still have no idea why some people have trouble calling Godflesh for what it is: Industrial Metal. Just because they have a somewhat filthy sound does not make them sludge at all. If they influence some sludge and post-metal bands that's entirely different story. Their songwriting is so not-sludge.
P.H.O.B.O.S. takes more from Blut Aus Nord than Godflesh anyways. Godflesh's influences is only seen in the percussion while BAN's print is seen in things like... ALL their riffs, dissonant sound, overall songwriting and atmosphere, etc.
Atonal Hypermnesia could easily be described as The Work Which Transforms God slowed down to funeral speed with industrial percussion.

The best part is the majority of these bands have bandcamp pages. Easy to sample and see if you dig.

That Crown album.. it really is "The One". Probably the best ep I've heard this year (not many of those though) alongside that Monolithe one, have you heard it yet? Seems like something you'd dig.
