I havent enjoyed a Katatonia album since Dead End Kinds, From that album to now, seems like the same song built across 10 long years. I think my 5 would usually be a 6, but I think its the constant disappointment lol

The first good album for Katatonia after Dead End Kings. I enjoyed it after some spins.

I find this album very generic and safe play. Just an average one but anyways i was never a fan of Katatonia so i dont mind it.

I've been kind of checked out as of late when it comes to catching up with a lot of my favorite bands, just life and all, but I did get this album on vinyl and it's good! I didn't really care too much for their last one, it was a bit of a letdown after the excellent Fall of Hearts and while I don't think this one is quite as good as that either, it's still got some great tracks to choose from like Atrium, Impermanence and Opaline in particular. Good stuff all around.

This album sounded really boring to me. The only saving grace for me was colossal shade.

Just a good album ... good sound for modern Katatonia style

The songs were great live, even Atrium which I don't much care for on the record sounded good.

And more... music is an individual perception and at different times you can underestimate something, but later appreciate it. It's perfect for the first half, no notes. Then it gets too repetitive, and I can't even remember anything anymore. Which is sad, it's their first album I'm enjoying since Dead End Kings. They sound just great. Jonas is perfect, the voice, the delivery, the arrangement, everything.
