Should definitely be listened to as a whole despite being released separately. As individual albums I definitely prefer the first one, but when you put them together it's orgasmic.

Probably. I'm fine with it since I like the second half more. Glad it's at the top of the 2017 album ratings currently. It deserves it.

Good stuff, has a "theatrical" vibe which i most of the times find boring, but these guys manage to pull it off quite well. Definitely listen to Act 1 first, to get the most out of this album.

Expensive sounding production, but unfortunately shallow songwriting. Big arrangements just hide overall emptiness and abscence of strong musical ideas.

I couldn't disagree with you more Spacerunner, but you're entitled to your opinion.

Not as strong as Act I, but still a great album (especially when listened to in conjunction with Act I).

8.5/10 leaning towards a 9.

Interesting fact: The lyrics at the end of the last track are the song titles from Acts I and II.

Can't figure out why I don't like this more, theoretically I should worship this. Might be a grower, hopefully.

Listening to this accompanied by the official lore from their website, which explains and provides context song by song, is a delight and a spectacular journey. Highly recommended.
