Even this has small pop vibes and elements as all Noora projects , this is heavy and good, good heavy metal , song ''Wings Of Light'' its pure 80's song writing good touch, music and vocals and cool lyrics, killer song.

Parts of this really remind me of Nightwish. I think it's better than their last album but not even close to as good as when Anton was in the band.

An enjoyable album, just the right length, not groundbreaking.
Seems like it is the best we are ever going to get from the Kabanen-less lineup.
One can wonder whether Beast in Black is currently much superior to this though.

Wow flower power overload! but seriously the choruses and melodies are catchy as hell, I actually feel a wee bit embarrassed by the fact I enjoy this.

You shouldn't, a lot of music is catchy, there is classical music that is catchy, there is jazzy music that is catchy, Slayer's South of Heaven is catchy. So I never got why some people call catchy music bad.
Problem with a lot of Euro-power (IMO) is that it's often predictable, generic, heard it all before and better.

I understand what you mean about alot of euro-power often being predictable and generic, I thought this album itself was generic, and nothing that I haven't heard before, I enjoy the catchy melodies, but there is nothing making me want to delve into their earlier albums.

I thought Nocturna's album would have the most obvious Nightwish tribute songs this year, but damn Wings Of Light gives it some competition

Finally found the time to give this a listen. Enjoyed it quite a bit. Well paced and catchy record. The Nightwish influences were quite a surprise, but a nice one to be honest.

Agreed. I feel like there's so much more that could be brought to the band musically but Noora knocks it out of the park every time. Her voice deserves to be heard atop a much more interesting band, imo
