I wonder how long it will take for this album to drop from the top of 2022 list?

Hopefully it will remain there. This is one of the best albums I've listened to this year in all honesty

Its already gone. It stood no chance against prog Legion slapping their worshipped bands with 10's without even one full spin and 1's to every other band...

Another fart in a tunnel that once you've tried it, would never choose to play again over the likes of Ulver or even (arguably superior) Kvist

A cheeky question for you:
I wonder which ulver you are referring to? The ancient albums that could be considered black metal or the modern Ulver which pretends is Depeche Mode?

Obviously the Arntor and A Quick Fix of Melancholy stuff.

OK...
I am not sure if this meant to be joke or not.
If you are serious I would say a still tongue makes a wise head.
If you are trying to take a mick at my expense...
Well played

I wonder how many threads have been derailed by Alakazam's random nonsense?
Anyhoo...
I enjoyed this album for around 40-45 minutes (particularly enjoyed the choral vocal stylings) but to be honest I found it a bit long in the tooth. It's fairly one dimensional and for me 60 minutes is just too long. In the end it became an exercise of endeavor.
I still don't think I've heard a more enjoyable or more memorable BM album than the Blackbraid one this year.

This one deserves all the praise it is getting. The riffs sound really good after a couple of listens.
