This is maybe a little superficial criticism, but I just hate when literally every other new thrash metal album these days has art by Ed Repka. Back in the day his art used to be novelty, something that made you stick out from other bands around. These days it's the opposite: everyone has one, and they look and feel exactly the same, like you could have anything else and it would stick out. I can't see why anyone would pay big money to get cover art from him unless the album is meant for very desperately nostalgic metal heads only and nobody else.

I unfortunately, have to agree with you. This is overused.

Spectrum Of Death is unique, no doubt, but this album hits hard.

I'm not exactly blown away by this, I just find it to be typical modern standard Thrash tbh

What a great return to form, great Thrash Metal album, the best return album by Thrash band since "Tempo of the Damned". All tracks are great and quite diferent each other, thats a 47 minutes record!! Great great great album.

Are you willing to receive a real beating from Trash Metal? If you like that genre this is your album, riffs, machine gun to the drums without quarter.

There's a band that never disappoints, except in the time it takes to release a goddamn album and in this specific case the cover art. Great stuff though, I like it.

Well, what can I say? I'm glad they're back and intense as ever. For anyone looking for some goody good modern thrash metal, this should do the trick. I have personally kinda grown out of the genre lately. Too many bands look and sound the same. I would love if bands at least experimented more with their gear and went for different guitar tones, production tricks, etc. to stand out that way.

Well standardized thrash that offered the limited capacity to enjoy in their spectrum. I enjoyed some sections, sometimes gone over-the-top to fuel killer riffs ended up plodding profusely. One time visit.

A hammer-smashed face of a comeback album. Total aggression & still very technical in a definite old-school vibe. An immediate continuation of Destruction System & Thrashaholic EP but refined. I hope they stick around & make more music

Man how did this win Thrash album of the year? It wasn’t THAT bad a year for thrash metal.

This was the lowest turnout in total votes cast in the last 4 years. It couldn't even manage to pass 600 votes. So, I'm not surprised that some vanilla will take it away.

Adorior, Bütcher, Dungeon Crawl and specially Mayhemic (the best imo) were all excellent releases that deserved much more love.

Thrash in general lacked the big name nominees of previous years - Morbid Saint were the closest thing to a cult/legacy act that made it in (if we'd nominated Kerry King or Flotsam and Jetsam, they would've probably stomped the category, but I didn't hear much of value in those releases either). My vote was for Hemotoxin, but most of the other nominees would've been more inspiring winners in the category tbh
