Yeah, last time I got it to work was an old Win XP *virtual machine* running on Win10. About 10 gigabytes just to connect to an old watch.

Infrared is crazy.

Yeah I can get them online, no problem there. I just forgot it on a trip and no chance of finding one, even at places that sell the watch!

Try ebay, probably solvable. I had (or rather still have) a Polar watch that connected to a computer only via infrared. You can guess if any modern computer has a port for that, or even drivers necessary for the usb dongle.

My Garmin watch has a proprietary charging cable that is impossible to find in stores. Drives me nuts.

Another rant that I will hold back on. Why can't every single tech manufacture switch to USB C.
