The sound of the previous album was good but the songwriting left a bit to be desired. The single "Dødsengel" re-ignites the interest I have for this project. The song is long enough to build up a proper atmosphere (crucial for this ultra bleak funeral doom), the synth/piano has a really sorrowful tone and the slow, painful growls carry a lot of gravitas. Unfortunately I can see Nortt still has a hard-on for awkward last notes. Just check out the new track "Dødsengel". Dude hit the piano at 5:12 and just let it rang out to the ending (5:41). Like what the fuck man. xD
