During the band's history, Ancient Rites overcame several blows of fate, including band members passing away or bad experiences with promoters and labels. In fact, their last EP was nominated in the Best Hard Rock Album category on Metal Storm Awards 2013. The next step is to release a new album and the songwriting has begun. The plan is to release it next year with studio time set for later this year.

The new album will be named A New Dawn Ending and will be released on April 25th via Limb Music. The songs were all recorded at Simone Mularoni's Domination Studio, and to add a twist to the album, it will feature Rhapsody Of Fire's Fabio Lione in the track "The Last Resort".
