Enslaved - Enter The Studio, New Album In The Making

Good news arrive from the Enslaved camp today. It looks like the Norwegian progressive metallers are already forging the follow-up to In Times released two years ago. They have entered the studio again to record their 14th, yet untitled full-length release. The recordings are taking place at Duper & Solslottet Studios in Bergen throughout April, and will be mixed and mastered by Jens Bogren at Fascination Street Studios. According to their label, "the album promises to be original and refreshing - and to contain some surprising new elements."

Jorn - Announce New Studio Album

After 2016's covers album, Heavy Rock Radio, Jorn are back with a new studio album this year to follow 2013's Traveller. Secret Sphere - New Studio Album Announced

The Nature Of Time is the name of Secret Sphere's ninth studio album, it has been announced. It will be released on June 2nd, 2017 via Frontiers Music Srl. The new recording celebrates 20 years of hard work that started back in 1997. The label is selling the album as a "symphonic and melodic metal masterpiece."

Anathema - Reveal Details & Cover Art For New Studio Album

Anathema's new album is almost here! While you still have to wait until June to get it, today you can find out the details about it and begin anticipating it. After 2014's album Distant Satellites, the atmospheric rockers are back with their eleventh full-length, The Optimist. Due for release on 9th June through Kscope, The Optimist will soon reveal "some of the darkest, most challenging and unexpected music the sextet have put their name to." Tankard - Share Studio Trailer And Album Release Date

German beer fueled thrashers Tankard have just put out a video online through Nuclear Blast's official YouTube channel concerning their upcoming album, One Foot In The Grave. The video features some studio footage of the making of the record, new song snippets as well as a set release date, which is June 2nd 2017. The album was recorded at Gernhart Studios in Germany, with producer Martin Buchwalter. Any updates on the tracklist or album cover artwork have not yet been revealed. Judas Priest - In The Studio Recording New Album

Metal gods Judas Priest have officially started recording their new album. Mike Exeter, who produced 2014's well received Redeemer Of Souls and was involved in recent Black Sabbath releases, is in the studio with the band, along with Tom Allom, producer of every Judas Priest release from 1979's Unleashed In The East until 1988's Ram It Down. Last but not least, Andy Sneap, responsible for albums by Accept, Testament, Nevermore and Exodus (just to name a few) is also there to twiddle the knobs.

Die Apokalyptischen Reiter - New Studio Album In Progress

After a long break, Germans Die Apokalyptischen Reiter will be back with a new album! Tief.Tiefer was their latest release and now they announce a new studio album for the summer of 2017. The group is currently recording this forthcoming, yet-untitled album which will be produced by the band and co-producers Alexander Dietz (Heaven Shall Burn) and Eike Freese (Deep Purple, Kai Hansen).

Ensiferum - Begin Work On New Studio Album

Ensiferum recently entered the Astia studio in Lappeenranta, Finland, where the band recorded a few demo songs for their upcoming seventh full-length, set to be released September 2017 via Metal Blade Records. This means that the quintet will soon return to the Astia studio to begin recording this new album, which will be produced once again by Anssi Kippo (Children Of Bodom, Impaled Nazarene, Entwine).

Avatarium - New Studio Album Title, Release Date Announced

Morbid Angel - Recruit New Drummer, In The Studio

While former Morbid Angel members David Vincent (vocals, bass) and Tim Yeung (drums) will join forces to perform classic Morbid Angel songs under the I Am Morbid banner, Morbid Angel are currently in the studio working on their new album. Guitarist Trey Azagthoth recently updated on the recording process and announced that the band has enlisted a drummer: Scott Fuller from brutal death metallers Annihilated and Abysmal Dawn.

Tombs - Enter Studio To Record New Album

Brooklyn-based metal outfit Tombs has entered Mana Recording Studio in St. Petersburg, Florida to begin recording their fourth full-length. Produced once again by Erik Rutan (Hate Eternal), this currently untitled album is set for a summer release via Metal Blade Records. Last year, the band released the EP, All Empires Fall.
