Krisiun - In The Studio, New Album Update

The Brazilian brutal death metal machine Krisiun have entered Mana Recording in Saint Petersburg, Florida to begin recording their new album. The production on the album is being handled by Erik Rutan, who has previously worked with such bands as Cannibal Corpse, Nile, Six Feet Under, Hate Eternal, and others. He also produced Krisiun's Conquerors Of Armageddon album back in 1999. The successor of The Great Execution should arrive this year.

Wizard - To Reissue Four Studio Albums

Power metallers Wizard will reissue four studio albums in 2015, via Limb Music. You can get your hands on new editions of Bound By Metal (1999), Head Of The Deceiver (2001), Odin (2003) and Magic Circle (2005), which have been remastered by Markus Teske (Vanden Plas, Mob Rules, Symphony X), and will include bonus tracks. Moreover, the Odin and Magic Circle reissues will also include bonus video clips.

Danzig - Back In The Studio

Danzig are back in the studio. The band has shared photos from an LA recording studio yesterday with guitarist Tommy Victor and drummer Johnny Kelly. They are laying down tracks for the upcoming Danzig record, tentatively scheduled for a late 2015 or early 2016 release. Things seem to be moving along after the recordings started last year.

Hooded Menace - To Hit The Studio

Finnish death/doom horde Hooded Menace have good news! They are preparing to enter the studio to record their fourth full-length and first new record since 2012's Effigies Of Evil. The band will be entering Skyhammer Studio in the UK to record with Chris Fielding (Electric Wizard, Moss, Napalm Death, The Wounded Kings) while Brad Boatright (Yob, Vallenfyre, Beastmilk, Sleep) will be mastering the album at Audiosiege in the U.S. You can expect the album to drop in the latter half of 2015 via Relapse Records. Amorphis - New Album In September, Heads For Studio

Later this year, Amorphis will be heading out on tour with Nightwish and Arch Enemy but they have more tricks up their sleeve. In fact, you can expect the band's new album pretty soon, around September. The Finns started off the year by demoing new songs for their upcoming 12th studio album and will start pre-production this March in Helsinki with producer Jens Bogren. The album recordings will begin in April at Bogren's Fascination Street Studio in Stockholm. What will they bring to the table on their next album? We will have to wait and see.

Windhand - Enter The Studio

Windhand are back at it after their massive Soma album. The Richmond doomsters have entered the studio with legendary producer Jack Endino (Nirvana, Soundgarden, High On Fire). The band is recording their anticipated third full-length album at Soundhouse Recording in Seattle, WA. The currently untitled album will see a fall release via Relapse Records and promises to be their most ambitious record to date. The album will contain nine songs including titles like "Two Urns", "Hyperion" and "Kingfisher".

Motörhead - Update From The Studio

Motörhead recently returned to the studio to begin work on their 22nd studio album. The heavy metal legendary band released their latest album in 2013, Aftershock, but the band also faced a tough time after cancelling shows due to health issues of frontman Lemmy Kilmister. Obscura - To Enter Studio In April, Launch Digital Tab Book

Progressive death metal masters Obscura have announced that they will enter Dreamsound Studios this April to begin recording drums for their anticipated new album and first full-length in over four years. The band will work once again with long time producer V. Santura (Cosmogenesis, Omnivium). The album will see a late 2015 release via Relapse Records and will be the first to feature new members drummer Sebastian Lanser and guitarist Tom "Fountainhead" Geldschläger.

Magrudergrind - Join Relapse Records, Enter Studio

Good news for grindcore fans. Magrudergrind have joined the Relapse Records family. More importantly, the trio has entered the studio to record their highly anticipated first new material in over five years with producer Kurt Ballou (Converge, High On Fire, Torche) at God City Studios in Salem, MA. The full-length record will be mastered by Pig Destroyer's Scott Hull and artwork will be designed by Clint Nicolas. The opus will see a release later this year along with extensive touring from the band. Who's excited?

Tool - In The Studio

Tool guitarist Adam Jones has recently shared a video filmed by Motörhead's drummer Mikkey Dee. It appears that the two bands are working on new releases in the same recording facility in Los Angeles. Tool have confirmed that they are working on new material before but fans are still waiting for the follow-up to 2006's 10,000 Days.

The Sword - Preparing To Enter The Studio

After being quiet for a while, Americans The Sword are about to enter the studio to record the follow-up to Apocryphon (2012). Thrashers Testament are back in the studio! The follow-up to Dark Roots Of Earth released back in 2012 is finally shaping up. Yngwie Malmsteen - Back In The Studio

Guitar shredder Yngwie Malmsteen is back in the studio recording a new album. This means that the follow-up to 2012's Spellbound album is finally in the works. No further details about the new record have been revealed so far. Next year, Yngwie Malmsteen already has a few performances planned like the Monsters Of Rock Festival in Brazil on April 26th, 2015 and an exclusive show in Tokyo, Japan on February 2nd, 2015.
