New York black metal band, Imperial Triumphant, are returning with a brand-new 4-song EP, Inceste. Last week, Finnish melodic metallers Insomnium hinted that they were hitting the studio, possibly to start the recording for a new album. Insomnium can now reveal that they are on their last day of recording drums in SF Sound studio. So far, they haven't given the fans any specific details about what they are recording exactly, but it seems like we have to brace ourselves for some cold, shivering tunes.

Earlier this month, the Swedish Patent And Registration Office rejected Entombed frontman Lars-Göran "LG" Petrov's bid to stop guitarist Alex Hellid's trademark registration to sell beverages under the Entombed moniker. The singer is currently touring and releasing albums under the moniker of Entombed A.D.. Basically, Alex Hellid can sell beverages under the band name.

Included in this edition are recordings of a show they headlined in San Francisco on March 15th, 1985. They headlined the second of two shows at the Kabuki Theater in San Francisco 31 years ago. Norwegian black metallers Svartelder just revealed the details of their upcoming debut album. Titled Pyres and set for release on Dusktone in April of this year, this will be a six-track album. Recorded in Norway at the Woodscave Studio. and mastered by WSL Studio in France, this album is the follow up to Svartelder's Askebundet EP, which hit the streets last year, also on Dusktone. A preview of the artwork by Khaos Diktator (Arditi, Nordjevel, Horna etc.) which will be used for the album can be seen below.

British veteran hard rockers Budgie have lost their former guitarist John "Big" Thomas. He was part of the band between 1979-1988, 1995-1996 and 1999-2002. It was the band's drummer Steve Williams who broke the news about his death. At the moment, no further details are available. He was 63. R.I.P.
