Elexorien - Part Ways With Vocalist

Dutch metallers Elexorien announced the departure of Iné Zijlstra as vocalist of Elexorien. Due to personal differences, we no longer feel we are a solid unit, and we were left with no other choice but to go separate ways.

Iné Zijlstra comments: "Although it hurts inside, I've made the decision to leave Elexorien. Due to some personal issues I feel like I can not put a hundred percent effort in this band at the moment. Being the singer of Elexorien has been an amazing experience; I absolutely love making music, being on stage, going on tours and having fun. The recent South-America tour is a fantastic memory forever. It was a great honour to perform for you, the fans. Maybe you will see me in other musical projects in the future. I want to thank Elexorien for all the good times we shared and wish them all the best for the future. I hope the band will be on stage again very soon!
Especially I would like to thank you, the fans, and everyone who helped me or Elexorien the last five years. You're the best, I will never forget you!"

We would like to thank Iné for the good times we shared and fun we had, and wish her nothing but the best in her future musical and personal enterprises.
Updates on Elexorien's future will be posted here soon. No need to panic - we will continue burning stages as soon as possible!

Manticora - 1997 Mini-CD Available For Free Download

Manticora have made their very first mini-CD "Dead End Solution" available for free download. The band comments:

"A looooong time ago we decided to record a mini-CD to promote ourselves and to shop the result to a record label... You've probably heard this story before, since this is the traditional way to be heard by other people than your friends and family. We've always been hiding this release since the outcome could have been better, and the fact is that it simply sold out after a lot of concerts - and there was no need for us to re-print it, since we eventually landed the record deal.

"Dead End Solution" was recorded and mixed over a weekend due to the fact that we didn't have much money... anyway, you can judge the result yourselves. The story continues today and we've now released 6½ albums including this mini-cd.

Since our fans can't find "Dead End Solution" anywhere (other than split up as bonus tracks for our re-releases of the first 3 albums) and have been asking for it for years now, we've decided to put it on our website for FREE download. Consider this as a token of gratitude. We really appreciate the huge interest in this mini-cd - an interest that has been increasing every year. THANK YOU! So, here you go! - its yours for download."

The album "'Dead End Solution" was released in 1997 by the band and was recorded and mixed at El-Sound Studios, Denmark, mastered at Tocano, Denmark and produced and Mixed by Morten Bue. The mini-album was released under both the Manticore and Maniticora names.

"Dead End Solution" cover art] tracklist:

01. Dead End Solution
02. How?
03. In Silence
04. The Pain You Offer
05. In Your Face

Milking The Goatmachine - New Song And Video Online

Milking The Goatmachine just uploaded another brandnew track off the bands upcoming debut album "Back From The Goats". Check out "Surf Goataragua" at the bands MySpace profile. The band also shot a video clip for "Surf Goataragua". The clip can be watched below. "Back From The Goats" will be unleashed on October 30, 2009 via Anstalt Records.

Commented Goatfreed Udder: "Hello Earthanoids. Goatleeb, Toni, Joe Anus and myself thought we'd produce a little video clip for "Surf Goataragua" to say thank you for our stay on your home planet! Hope you'll all watch this nice flick and that it'll help us to gain grinding world domination on earth. As it seems, Goatleeb and I won't be released from the Anstalt any time soon. Anstalt will build us a shed in the yard, so we might stay a little longer. We only get released for playing gigs, and this only when being medicated correctly..."

As confirmed earlier, Milking The Goatmachine's debut album ?Back From The Goats" will feature a real life story concept!

Commented Goatfreed Udder: "Hailing from Planet GoatEborg, we experience a lot of stuff you earthanoids would call strange or weird. Nothing as weird and sick as your own planet though... Nevertheless, the concept behind the Machine's debut album is an event that took place not so long ago on GoatEborg: A guy has been dismissed by his girl. One night he passed by this huge field, all drunk of course, because of his grief and sadness. Shit happens. Not far away he saw a goats barn where he walked in and crushed on a pregnant nanny goat. They immediately fell in love and made exactly that all night long. In the morning of the very next day, the guy recognized he had coadunated with the nanny goat while she was giving birth to her child goatie. Shit happens. Although the farmer thought this guy was one ugly bastard, he took him to his farm to milk him. Shortly after that the farmer casted him out again because of his sour milk and the fact that the flock would not accept him. Shit happens. That lead the guy to the point where he ran amok, impaling the farmer and the rest of the flock with his horns. After that he made his way back to town to kill his ex girlfriend and the rest of the population by squirtting them to death with his sour milk... Shit happens."

Mnemic - Enter The Studio

Danish metallers Mnemic have entered the studio to begin recording their 4th studio album, entitled "Sons Of The System" for a January 2010 release via Nuclear Blast Records.

The band states: "After a minor 2 year break from touring, we have returned to the studio, to record 15 brand new tracks. Our batteries are re-charged and we are extremely excited to let you all hear the new stuff. The material it self is a mixture of grind, rock, polyrhytmics, electronics and represents the sound of a more mature Mnemic, at least in our humble opinion. Compared to the last album, the recordings will be kept completely on Danish soil. This time we are more within our own comfort zone, and will be working with the same dude that made us 2 great sounding albums in the past, which is none other than Tue Madsen, who is a really good friend and a great producer. The drums will be tracked at the Antfarm Studio, while guitars, bass and vocals will be immortalized at the bands own studio, under Tue's supervision. At the end of the recording process, electronics, mix and mastering will then again be handled at the Antfarm Studios. During the recording process we will try to keep you all updated on the progress via this location."

Arch Enemy - Two Re-Recorded Songs Released

Original news, posted on 16.08.2009

Official press release

On September 28th, 2009 Swedish metallers Arch Enemy will release their new studio album "The Root Of All Evil" in Europe. It contains a selection of completely re-recorded tracks from the band's first three albums "Black Earth" (1996), "Stigmata" (1998) and "Burning Bridges" (1999) reenergized and upgraded by the band's definitive line-up.

Originally recorded with ever changing band members (i.e. former vocalist Johan Liiva, drummer Peter Wildoer, bass player Martin Bengtsson), "The Root Of All Evil" presents classic Arch Enemy tracks with the insane vocals of Angela Gossow, several completely new bass lines by Sharlee D'Angelo, the ever-present guitar wizardry of the Amott brothers as well as Daniel Erlandsson's merciless punch. The entire project was approached with the idea of having the possibility to re-add these songs to the bands live set and follow up the release with some special touring activity.....

Now, a first track of this stunning release has been launched at the band's official MySpace page, check out "Beast Of Man" at http://www.myspace.com/archenemy.

Guitarist Michael Amott comments: "So the time has arrived for a first taste of 'The Root Of All Evil'! The song "Beast Of Man" was originally written as a last minute addition to the "Stigmata" album back in 1998. Daniel (Erlandsson) had just returned to the Arch Enemy drum throne and I wrote this one and another song called "Diva Satanica" in a day or two. Christopher (Amott) had the cool harmonized mid section part and that was that, we went into the studio and rehearsed, recorded and mixed them in a marathon 24 hour session. It was OK at the time, but I always thought the songs deserved a little more love and attention.

The 2009 version of this song is really heads and shoulders above the original in my opinion. The song was always cool, but the production on the original was quite poor, more like a demo really. I am very pleased that we did this "Root Of All Evil" project and that we can give these songs a "new life"... Enjoy the "Beast Of Man"!"

UPDATE

Arch Enemy have posted a second track off their upcoming release, "The Root of All Evil", on the official Arch Enemy MySpace page. "Bury Me An Angel" joins "Beast of Man" as the first tracks to be posted off the new album, which is due out on October 6th on Century Media Records.

Andralls - Ink Deal With Xtreem Music

Brazilian Thrashers Andralls have signed a deal for the worldwide release of their 4th studio album simply entitled "Andralls" through Xtreem Music. Originally released in summer of this year in Brazil only, the band is now ready to hit the European continent for the second time with an intensive tour of 25 dates where they'll spread their "fasthrash"!!

"Andralls" shows what's perhaps the most honest, intense and stablished Thrash Metal band coming out from Brazil since Sepultura. No bullshit!! Formed over a decade ago and having released 6 albums (4 in studio & 2 live), Andralls have gained a solid reputation not only in Brazil but also abroad with their uncompromising brand of furious and intense Thrash Metal which reminds to the good old days of bands like Slayer and Sepultura. Just think on how many Thrash Metal albums you've heard since Slayer's "Reign in Blood" and Sepultura's "Beheath the Remains" with such motherfucking intensity... well, if you want to get that feeling back again, then the new Andralls album is what you need.

For a release scheduled by mid October, "Andralls" will include not only the 12 original tracks, but two live bonus on the Xtreem Music version which will leave you breathless. Just make sure to check them out at any of their European dates during November & December 2009 which will be shortly posted on the band's MySpace, where you can also hear some of the new songs.
