Primal Fear - New Album Trailer Online

Headspace - To Release Second Album

2016 will be a big year for proggers Headspace. The band featuring Damian Wilson (Threshold) and Adam Wakeman (Ozzy Osbourne, Snakecharmer) have announced they will release their second album All That You Fear Is Gone on 26th February 2016 through their label Inside Out Music to follow the magnificent debut I Am Anonymous.

Katatonia - Reveal New Drummer

And the new Katatonia drummer is... Daniel "Mojjo" Moilanen! He will replace long-time drummer Daniel Liljekvist, who left the Swedes last year, as a new permanent drummer. You might know Daniel from several bands such as The Project Hate MCMXCIX, Runemagick, Lord Belial and Engel, among others. As you know, the band is releasing a new album next year, and today they also entered Studio Gröndahl with engineer Karl Daniel Lidén to commence the recording of their 10th album.

Obscura - Share New Album Details, Rafael Trujillo Joins

Obscura are finally releasing a new album and the details are out in the open. Their highly-anticipated fourth full-length album is to be called Akroasis and is due out on February 5th, 2016 via Relapse Records. The aptly-named 'Akroasis' (Greek for "hearing" or "listening") draws on all the various elements of Obscura's signature sound and combines those qualities into a mind-blowing and cohesive whole. Nordjevel - New Band Featuring Members Of Marduk And Svartelder

A new black metal band is born. Nordjevel, which translated means "Northern Devil", was founded by frontman Doedsadmiral (Svartelder, Doedsvangr) and guitarist Nord (Fatal Impact, Tvangeste, Byrdi) earlier this year. The Norwegian duo was quickly joined by Sweden's Fredrik Widigs (Marduk) on drums. They have today revealed the details and artwork for their upcoming debut full-length album which will be released on Osmose Productions on the 29th of January. Titled Nordjevel, the nine-track album will be released in digipack and digital editions which will be followed by a vinyl version on a date as yet to be announced.

Emperor - Complete Works Box Set Details Revealed

Last year, Emperor announced their Complete Works vinyl box set, spanning the black metallers entire career. The box set will be the first time their works have been remastered specifically for vinyl and presented as special editions. It will be released by Finnish label Blood Music which has started revealing its contents now. Emperor's The Complete Works will be a 24-LP, one 7", and one book box set. The public pre-order date for the box set is slated to begin on December 9th, 2015.

Tony Kakko - Releases New Christmas Music Video

Christmas is drawing near, and the Sonata Arctica frontman, Tony Kakko, has been busy with the annually-assembled Finnish supergroup Raskasta Joula ('Heavy Christmas'), to whom he is an active contributor since 2006, on recreating the famous Christmas carol "Pieni Rumpali" ("Little Drummer Boy"). The supergroup is known to be a gathering of Finnish metal vocalists like Tony, Nightwish's Marco Hietala, ex-Celesty's Antti Railio, ex-Charon's Juha-Pekka Leppäluoto, ex-Kiuas's Ilja Jalkanen and many more. This new video also, pleasantly enough, introduces a new kind of Finnish metal star: Apocalyptica's Eicca Toppinen, playing the cello. Enjoy the peaceful tune below.
