Eleni Nota announced on her Facebook profile that she decided to leave Brazilian thrash machine Nervosa due to health issues. The band announced that Nanu Villalba will take over drumming instead.

Eleni Nota explains her decision to leave: "My journey with Nervosa has come to an end. This was a hard decision to make but life sometimes surprises you and you have to go with the flow. My health is improving rapidly but still I need to take a break from extensive touring. At the same time, Nervosa needs to keep on conquering the world. So it was best for both sides to part ways and keep on with our separate journeys. I can guarantee that I will keep on playing drums till my last day. I will keep on recording drums, playing shows, posting videos and teaching lessons as always. I have no idea what the future holds and I'm very excited to find out! I deeply want to thank Nervosa for their trust in me and for everything we experienced together! I learned so so much!! I wish all the success in the world to @prikaamaral @divasatanicaofficial and @miawinterwallace_official and of course to @nanu_villalba who is doing a killer job behind the kit 🔥 To new beginnings 🍻"



Nervosa welcomes new drummer: "From now on @nanu_villalba is the official drummer of Nervosa and she is in charge of smashing the drums in the next steps with us!
