Nice find from Nejde - hooky thrash with some blackened touches and also trad heavy moments

Best thrash album of the year. Blackened thrash in the vein of Skeletonwitch but just to mix it up one more notch, there's som great heavy metal influences too, especially in the solos. And for fans of H.P. Lovecraft, the theme of the album is the band itself fighting against Azathoth of the Cthulhu mythos.

This is a top quality blackened thrash album, it's furious energy and tempo is relentless and there's some excellent riffs. I'm definitely hearing a strong resemblant to Skeletonwitch, which is certainly not a bad thing.

If your not keen on this then yes, I'd recommend avoiding Skeletonwitch

In a year full of awesome blackened speed/thrash metal, how has more people not been talking about this one? I feel if it wasn't a December release this would get more recognition. Other than the Hellripper release this might been my favourite blackened speed/thrash album this year. Definitely sounds a lot like Skeletonwitch and I Hear some Nifelheim in there too. I even hear some Cattle Decapitation in there at times, but specifically in the track Invocation Of The Abyss. It even has those goblin style vocals almost. Can't wait to hear what they release next.
