Heeey, grats at passing your exam man
Thanks, man. It was tough. The system at my university is that the only grade that counts for the class is the final exam. All the homework that one does throughout the semester doesn't count. This can be nice because you basically have to try your hardest only once - at the end for the exam. But on the other hand, it makes it also super stressful because your whole grade relies on the professor designing a reasonable exam.
This exam I find wasn't reasonable. The class was "Theoretical Physics 5: Advanced Quantum Mechanics". I enjoy physics for the actual physical phenomena, but theoretical physics classes have the tendency to have so much abstract math and don't focus on the connection to the actual physics. In the exam it was the extreme case that there was practically no physics involved - it was just a bunch of math problems. This pissed me off because I'd been preparing for completely other stuff, plus when I was working on the problems, I felt like I was always messing something up.
Well, I guess it turned out OK in the end. Thankfully that was my last theoretical class that I needed for my bachelor's degree. Now there's only lab work left - where I can do actual physics!

you should give their 8th album "Octavarium" a try. The band members were very into muse at the moment of writting the songs.
Really? I didn't know that. Thanks- I'll check it out!

If you like Muse and already got yourself into Dream Theater, then you should give their 8th album "Octavarium" a try. The band members were very into muse at the moment of writting the songs. Especially Panic Attack and Never Enough have strong resemblance to Muse's work.
Ok, I've listened to Octavarium. I didn't like it that much, despite some Muse elements on those songs you mentioned.
I did though find Adramelch - Irae Melanox and Poison - Into The Abyss from your list intriguing

Gonna dump some Romanian albums I think you might like:
Illuminati - The Core
White Walls - Grandeur
Descend Into Despair - Opium
The Thirteenth Sun - Stardust
Ordinul Negru - A Sojourner
Methadone Skies - Different Layers Of Fear
Katharos XIII - Chthonian Transmissions
Kultika - Capricorn Wolves
Thanks a ton, Radu! I've listened to all of these now and it was a pretty cool binging trip!
It was really interesting exploring Romanian music. Thanks for providing such a large variety as well (death, prog, black, instrumental, post...)!
My favorites were:
- The Thirteenth Sun - Stardust
- Ordinul Negru - A Sojourner Wandering Through The Barren Openness
- Methadone Skies - Different Layers Of Fear
I really liked the spacey/stoner/prog atmosphere on these
Katharos XIII (with cool saxophone) and Kultika (with growls reminding me of Dan Swanö) were interesting too, and I was impressed to find that they along with Ordinul Negru are led by the same mastermind Fulmineos.

Keep them lists coming! Through Silver in Blood is pure brilliance.

So imminently visible - this cloaked innocent guilt
Sentenced to a lifetime, a second of structured chaos
Trampled by the ferocious, raging crowds of solitude
I'm the soil beneath me soaking up the sustenance of my own death.

Indeed it is! Neurosis have such a great unique style that took some getting used to. Glad that I've come to appreciate it now!

Thanks! I'm really happy with the way I'm going through music right now - browsing through various genres, going down rabbit holes, exploring non-metal things and things not featured on MS...
And, since giving a quantitative rating for albums can be stressful (especially if I've only just discovered it and it might still grow on me), I'm not forcing myself to give the albums a rating. Instead, I'm just following a simple policy: if I find something that I like and want to return back to it often, I add it to the list.
I hope you and others will find great albums that you haven't listened to yet. The world of music is so wide and flourishing - and I hope I can contribute to spreading the word!

That Early Moods album is some of the best traditional doom I've heard in a long time! Nice list.
