A few techno-ish beats, really not that many even. I'd be amazed if anyone was that swayed because of them. I found it gave it an industrial feel more than a techno one.

The first track is one of the best Darkspace songs ever recorded. You won't like the second track though I suspect.

Maybe you should check out the last Paysage d'Hiver record. You might find it more to your tastes.

If you haven't heard their previous one I'd say you should give it a try. A tad more interesting to me, and one of my favorite records of all time. This however, is still phenomenal and definitely a worthy follow up.

Yeah, I'm gradually checking out their whole discography, so don't worry, as I'll definitely check out the previous album.

Not much of an ambient black metal fan but i'm really digging this album. Very unique sound

Where do you buy/listen to this, anyway. It's not on their bandcamp page with the others.

^ Same. I'm happy I didn't get disappointed this time like with Watain or Dark Fortress lately. It's a bit less hypnotizing then their previous work and I would have preferred 10 minutes songs but still solid nonetheless.

I think Dark 4.19 is my new favorite Darkspace track! Epic

This is so close to topping Tekel-Li as my aoty. It might steal the "10" rating from it, as listening back and forth between the two I'm much more impressed by this one. Also it's basically the same quality as III to me.....fuck it giving it a 10. One of my new favorite albums ever, and it basically staples Darkspace in my top 10 bands of all time.

Our bodies age by the second... None of our senses and overall fitness get better with time, they only get worse. Most of the time I'm careless at concerts and don't have earplugs and when the concert is over I get the ringing sound the entire night and sometimes the following day. That shit can get permanent for example.

Nah I was serious. I once had sever problem with my ears. Not only I stopped listening to music for 7 months, but also I couldn't even talk with phone or watch TV with sound. After seeing a couple of specialists, it turned out that the nerves system of my teeth interacts with my ears, causing pain and super sensitivity to sound. I talked with the doctor that came up with the correct reason about my habit of listening to extreme music ( was mostly into death metal back then) and he said that listening to music on phones or MP3 players with maximum power should not cause damage. I had my ears tested and the diaphragm and ear drums were functioning great. In fact, I had better hearing abilities than most people.
Btw, I should have added that I never listen to music on speakers and has never been to any metal concert (or almost any other type of concerts for that matter). Maybe the maximum volume on phone ear-buds is not that much?

Sorry folks! Darkspace is awesome... uhmmm... Yeah. This is probably one of their best albums for sure. III might still win but just by a hair at most.

I am 100% addicted to this album. Seriously one of the best ambient black metal albums out there (along with DS III)

Wow this is the most perfect album i've listened this year.their music is truly incomparable...maybe my number one band forever....just wish this album was so much longer(i mean more than three tracks)

Pretty much what I was thinking as well. It's kind of baffling to see how mz and Mary weren't aware of totally common knowledge such as this. Well, no need to explain seeing as Rodrigo already has done that... except that listening music via ear buds is WAY more damaging to your ears than via speakers, if you both have them at high volume. That "specialist" lied to you, mz.
