I was listening some records and found this "Dead On" album by Dead On (1989). I think that it's a superior album in this particular style of old school power/thrash metal. In addition they appeared on "No More Mr. Nice Guy" split (1989) with Megadeth and released an ep called "All Four You" (1991). "All Four You" wasn't that great release but the songs "Every Day on Earth" and "Do What You Want" are worth listening. I can't come up with many similar bands but I think they sound quite a bit like Lääz Rockit. Samples: http://www.myspace.com/129429238 - Some of their songs are streamed here. http://vibrationsofdoom.com/test/test2/DeadOn.html - The whole "Dead On" album is streamed here. Some songs are also available on youtube but you gotta search them manually. So I haven't seen almost any discussion about this band anywhere, why is it so? What do you think, is it a thrash gem forgotten in the golden era because of the numerous outstanding releases that took place the same year 1989 or is it just a mediocre album that doesn't deserve any more attention than it has, which is almost next to none?

I didn't even know a band with this name existed. That's why I haven't been discussing them.

Back in -89 I think it would have been to my liking but today it sounds a bit too dated doesn't it? Personally I'm into other stuff but it sounds competent enough and I think the fact that it was neglected at the time could have something to do with the name. "Dead On" to me doesn't sound too interesting and there were tons of bands around at the time. Also Venom and a number of other bands had changed the direction things where going already so maybe they just weren't hard enough to get the attention they needed.
