Waldgeflüster
- Ruinen
(+++) Atmospheric Black/Folk. Usually i don't like german singing. Especially clean. It always sounds kinda Rammstein or Imperium Dekadenz tryhard. Wich are both boring. Usually. But this Album is kinda nice. It has this Empyrium'ish atmosphere and is not loosing any momentum with very clean production. FavTrack: Ruinenfelder

Skuggsjá
- A Piece For Mind & Mirror
(+) Considering it is Wardruna/Enslaved it is a great piece of art, but i miss something.

(++) #Blackmetal. lol they are alive :D Always confused with Arkona from Russia.

|
32.
Evergreen Refuge
- Fungal
(+) Instrumental Darkfolk/Atmospheric. BANDCAMP special: Every Album is very good for a long train ride, but after a while it kinda loses momentum and becomes repetitive.

Brymir
- Slayer of the Gods
(+++) Fck yeah, second Brymir album. Everything you expect to find in finnish #Melodeath is there. Not so epic as their first Album but still very nice.
|
|
39.
Kambrium
- The Elders' Realm
(++) Their 3rd Album but now also via NoiseArt Records (whats up with that label recently ?). It's like Melodeath "Light". The album doesn't take itself too serious but sounds still very nice, fast and divergent.

|
40.
Nothgard
- The Sinner's Sake
(+) German Epic stuff. It a good epic melodeath album. But seruiosly, don't try to copy the finns.
|
|
41.
Dark Oath
- When Fire Engulfs The Earth
(+) Epic Melodeath. Bored waiting for Wintersun ? Check this out this one poor cliche melodeath copy :P

Vektor
- Terminal Redux
(?+?) ProgressiveIntergalacticThrashMetal. Or just progthrash. I don't know why this album is hyped so much. Maybe because it is something different from the Big4 or the teutonic big4. Or just because it is not Metallica or Slayer. It is fast. VERY fast. It has some nice melodic parts, some nice (and definetly weird, there is a fkn lullaby! in between all that chaos) transitions and progressions, kinda a story, but overall its just some nice, fast good old generic but creative thrashmetal wich is definetly woth a mention and a listen.

Fleshgod Apocalypse
- King
(----) Its too much now. Its overhyped. People also tend to compare to Septicflesh, wich was a Gem years ago. But its crumbling apart under its own weight.
|
|
66.
Meshuggah
- The Violent Sleep Of Reason
(---) Seriosly. You can write a Javascript wich will generate and play the same album. And then an other one, and another one, and onoth... EVEN if you are some kind of a guitar/drum/weird measurements/djent etc. elitist... i can't imagine listening to the same different patterns OVER OVER AND OVER again. Yes, its brutal, its complex, its greatly produced and recorded. It maybe the best of their works. Everything as usual... BUT ALL OF THAT REPETITIVE SINCE 1991 for fcks sake! (extra two minus for annoying fanboying)

(=) Polish #blackmetal is usually very awesome. This one is not. Yes, it is nice, chaotic, raw blackmetal.
