This is killer, hard to define a genre, but it has evergrey elements when he sings clean parts, also some how extreme progressive touch, I hear heavy Ivory Tower here as well. This is good, super debut IMO,

Production is something I almost never comment on as tbf, it's a fairly boring topic. Most people just don't care these days but it's really noticeable for me on this.

Only listened once so far but the songwriting seems very dense and varied, something you can easily listen to 3 or 4 times before you get a sense of identity for each song. And there are quite a few really amazing solos. I'd even say the solos alone make this worth listening. I look forward to relisten this many times.

The songs are ok, but the recording is atrocious, the extreme compression makes this the less organic record of the year

Really good clean vocals and some sexy guitar work. The album is massive and definitely warrants more than a few listens for one to truly appreciate it's greatness.

"Voyage Of The Garganey I" and "Waves Below" are both great songs.

I think it's an exciting topic but I am generally pretty interested in all that stuff. That said, I agree 100%, this sounds absolutely lifeless and flat, one of the worst production jobs I've heard in a while. Didn't make it to the end.

I've given this album almost a year to see if it would lose any standing with me, and it hasn't. It's only gotten better with time! What an incredible effort.

This is a great debut, I can understand why it's the highest rated album from 2021. It has a fresh style and sound, with epic song structures, and very intriguing lyrics to go with the cosmic theme. The vocals are very impressive, and the clean works very well with the harsh.

"Laihem's Golden Pits", and "The Weaver System" stood out for me most, aswel as the closer "Safe Across The Endless Night" which is flippin epic!

Such an amazing release this one was! And recently it has been announced their next album.

This album... what a debut.

I've given this plenty of tries since it came out, but I just can't get into it. The songwriting is just too damn repetitive and safe, and the ignorance of proper dynamics is frustrating. I was originally gonna give it points for the atmosphere, but even that feels very thin and half-baked, a problem considering a lot of space metal relies on either atmosphere or dynamics. I guess I was expecting something more like Iapetus.
