I kind of wish this had gone through one more revision session because, man, those song lengths really hold the album back; most of the longer songs didn't need to exceed seven minutes. Still, props to the band for experimenting because they definitely have the skills to make an incredible album.
Oh, and that random but excellent rendition of Skyrim's main theme. Whoever made the decision to have that as the album's opener is a genius.

I really enjoy this one. Ilike Myrath a lot, so this fits in perfectly.
It's an easy to listen one imho, nice tweaks and turns with great references to the traditional music.
Lovely, surprising, interresting and enjoyable. No prob with some longer tracks, they fit in nicely

The Myrath comparison above is apt, I also hear some Orphaned Land in there. Not entirely sure why the Skyrim theme was used to open the album because it doesn't seem clear that the rest of the album is Skyrim-themed, but it's a cool interpretation of it

I was dubious about this being consistently good for 75 minutes, and maybe it isn't, but I'd cut the shorter songs and interludes if I was editing it down. Some of the longer efforts really slap.

I want to like it, but I can't like it as much as I should. The lengths of each songs are just unnecessarily long, mainly because they just keep repeating the same melodies over and over again, especially at the intro, without getting into the real part or trying to make it sound cool enough, they just keep holding it and it's really not so genius.
The instruments sound really good, which is a tragedy as the whole album feels really bland because of the poor songwriting. It feels very lazy and sounds like a beginner who still doesn't know how to write music properly.

to be honest I don't know what are you talking about ... the album sounds Epic , too many good memorable riffs , even the repetition always have different variations and maybe different elements , but of course you are free to like/dislike anything I just thought you might need to give it another listen

Epic Album , Music is beyond expectations , production is top notch and the different cultures put into the songs has taken the album to another level , I like the melodies re-introducing that has been done and the guitar solos are massive

A great way to open a record in my eyes, any record that starts off with a Skyrim tribute in that fashion and quality sounds like it's on to a winner imo, but sadly the opening track is the only song I really enjoyed, the rest was a bit boring, good use of symphonies though, but the songs were way too long winded for me, and I've lost interest several times trying to get into it. It's unfortunate really because I really like the sound of his vocals..
