I like the sludge to be a festering swamp, filled with all manner of grotesque, slow-moving horror. So normally it is. And just when I think I've dredged up every unsightly sludge band lurking in the muck, another heaves itself up from the depths, dripping with distortion and wailing riffage. It's some pretty solid heavy sludge this, kinda like Mastodon with a sprinkle of slowed down Bolt Thrower, especially when hearing Karl Willets featuring on "Brutus", and that's an excellent cover-art too. "Ancient Ways" and "Mindless and Blind" are clear highlights for me though.
