The part of my brain that likes thrash metal is in love with this album.

One of the best albums I've ever heard, that have been released in the 21st century anyway. I'm sure many people will disagree with me on this, but I believe there isn't a bad song on here at all.

The outro to the last track is very fucking tasty (highlight of the album for me), shame they use a fade out which is the stupidest decision ever for something that epic.

One of the best.

But they just don't click - something too mechanical about it all.

Yeah there is something stopping me from fulling enjoying these guys as well, I think I don't know how to appreciate the hardcore punk aspects of it? Since I basically have no experience with that genre.

I've always liked it, but I felt the same way. Eventually it clicked and all the energy and craziness made sense. , in short, KEEP TYRIN IT I BELIVE IN U.

And no one is gonna force themselves to see something stupid like that on an image that's so recognizable and distinct to not just the acclaimed album but the equally acclaimed band itself, especially something as controversial and universally associated with hate and prejudice as Hitler's mustache (silly as that sounds).
In other words, you fail at trying to ruin the image for us, and the fact that you actually tried proves how inconceivably immature you are. Go back to 4chan.

Had to come back and 10 this after listening to Jane Doe at work after a long time. So powerful, perfect album.

Ever since seeing it live this album has grown on me a lot.

For me its actually the opposite. I loved this album to bits years ago, nowadays I have problems finishing the album. Sounds too forced for me.

I need to rewrite my cringe hell of a previous comment, this is probably the greatest hardcore record if you add up the quality and relevance. It used to have had emotional significance to me when I was younger, now definitely I enjoy it more for its musical qualities rather than the themes. I think I have to give it 10 because there's nothing I would change about the album, nothing I would add or take away, there aren't any dull moments that make me bored or anything. Ahh, when people are at their lowest, their art seems to be at their highest.

And ye I'm here because Fantano decided to review this album, which is good, was a good re-listen!

Heavier than most Death and Black Metal, this album has grown so much on me.

In need of revisiting this but I do remember falling in love with it for a time...

Doesn't quite hold up to the pedestal I used to have it on but this is still a ridiculously energetic album. A foray into raw and primitive chaotic aggression while somehow maintaining a sense of melody and a wonderfully technical, coordinated rhythm section.

The greatest metalcore album of all time from the greatest metalcore band of all time.

Awesome album! Chaotic, aggressive, and at times, beautiful.

8.8/10 for me - 'Jane Doe' is the standout song. 'Phoenix In Flight' is fantastic, and 'Concubine', 'Distance And Meaning' and 'Heaven In Her Arms' are also all great.

This needs to be in the top 200

I assume this sounds to me like what grindcore, death and black metal sound to most normies. The rawness and intensity are off the charts, but for me it's just random noise and screaming. Yes, this is indeed a very stupid comment and this album is a masterpiece, but that's just how I honestly feel. Maybe I just don't get it.
