Guitarist Joona Björkroth joined Battle Beast in the wake of Anton Kabanen's unceremonious departure, the point at which some fans began to despair that the Finnish sextet had become too poppy, that the "Beast" was gone. Well, first of all, shut up, because the new stuff is good, too [read: better]. But if No More Hollywood Endings is still too Hollywood for you, Brymir can offer five times the Beast.

Good album, sometimes the orchestrations even remind me of Wintersun. Way too many 'brutal' tracks in the middle though.

Edit: In fact, the arrangements and guitar playing here are so incredible that I have to say, this is one glorious gem of an album

Wow, these guys are fucking awesome. Between this and that Meadows End album, this is shaping up to be a great year for melodeath.

Actually sounds a lot of like Wintersun in many songs, and I mean that in a good way, probably my favourite album of 2019 yet

In fact, this is, in my books, the first successfull approach to reimagine what Wintersun did on Time I. Other tries like Frosttide & others were really lacking.

Heavy, epic and enjoyable from start to finish.

I definitely wouldn't class this as Extreme Folk Metal, Symphonic/Melodic Death Metal or Extreme Power Metal maybe, but I don't hear any trace of folk.

Best song: Starportal

Typical "arrangements over musical ideas" album. Unfortunately, even arrangements are totally a "Time I" rip-off.

This album is so combined, well, in a good way. Wintersun? Yes but still more steps to go; however it is good enough to give me a refresh this year.

Wow, what an album!! I'm playing the first two songs and Hails From The Edge constantly. For some reason this album reminds me of the vocals in Whispered's album Metsutan: Songs Of The Void, but this has less oriental influences. Might bump this to a 10 eventually as i'm really getting into it.

Boring repetitive stuff. I really don't see any element of interesting stuff that made people rated it more than 8

Bad English
Tage Westerlund
Listened it, a bit desalinated, keyboards, folk and melodic parts failed, same time extreme singing failed. I need listen older albums to judge this band.
