I'm listening to "Just Can't Hate Enough" by Sheer Terror right now. Imagine a NYHC that only listened to Celtic Frost for 2 years straight.

To be fair I like all forms of punk. Especially hardcore. I definitely listen to more punk adjacent stuff than metal nowadays.

Black Flag has some great songs but I’ve never been a huge fan even though I feel like I should be. Dead Kennedys and Dropkick Murphy’s older stuff can’t go wrong though.

I like punk when it's very agressive and doesn't really sound like punk

Johnny Thunders and the Heartbreakers Live at Max's Kansas City is also one of the all-time great live albums. I do love Dropkick Murphys and the Pogues, too. Elvis Costello, REM, and Television for adjacent stuff. Buzzcocks.

I definitely lean more to the melodic side of punk. I think it works better wit catchy hooks. I'm not a huge Black Flag fan because of that.
