"Sometimes, in life, you make true friends. A true friend is someone whom you can see and then not see, but when you see them again, it is like no time has passed at all. A true friend is someone whom you can laugh with, talk with, hang out with, rock with, and confide in. Then there is the friend who gives you so much, you can't express in words how much they mean to you. When I look back on my life, I have to say that one of my true friends is Mr. W. Axl Rose.

As everyone now knows, when Guns N' Roses made their triumphant return to New York City a few weeks ago, Axl was cool enough to invite me on stage all four nights to sing with him the Guns N' Roses song of my choice, which happens to be 'My Michelle'. During the NYC shows Axl asked me if I wanted to fly with him to Europe to duet with him in England at Donington and Hammersmith. Of course I said YES and then I mentioned to him the recording of the new CD 'Angel Down' and how much it would mean for our band to open some Guns N' Roses shows. Axl's response was to offer the band the whole European tour.

To say that my mind is blown, or that I am thankful for this opportunity, is so superfluous. I really cannot express how much this means to me. Axl Rose is the most honest, genuine, straight-up, and talented person I have ever met in this business, and for him to give my band the chance to rock in front of all his fans is something I will never forget. He is now singing better than ever! My personal favorite new Guns N' Roses song is 'I.R.S.'. Last night I jammed with him at Rock Am Ring in Germany in front of 70,000 people after a two-day plane journey which put me in four countries in one day! It is gonna be a truly killer summer playing on tour with Guns N' Roses and recording the new CD as well!!!

'Right! Some of us came back home for two weeks off, a few stayed in Australia for a bit of a holiday. What an amazing first N. American tour weve had! A sold out headlining tour, finally got to meet our fans in the US & Canada and we got to meet loads of cool people!

What more could we have asked for? There were more sold out shows when we arrived in Australia! We would like to thank our fans that have been waiting for a long time, and new fans whove just discovered us for coming out in numbers to our shows. Thanks to our guests on the tour or should we say friends, from the bands Protest the Hero, Sanctity and Black Majesty. These guys kicked serious ass, so check them out!

So, the news has been out about DragonForce playing the main stage on Ozzfest. We are really excited to be touring the US again and be given the opportunity to play in front of our die-hard fans and showcase our skills to a new audience. Despite all the rumours people have read on the internet, we never received an offer to play Gigantour.

Now here comes the bad news. We had to cancel three European festivals that weve been so looking forward to playing. To the fans in the Netherlands, Finland and Spain, sorry but well make it up to you. The World Tour will continue to roll on so see you all soon !

The organizers wrote in a statement: "We have negotiated with several bands, not all the bands were available for this year so we have decided to go for the best options possible. This means that we will have two headliners for Saturday 30 September, both the Dutch amazing newcomer Textures as well als Danish Mercenary will play for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Riverside will end this year's edition of the festival witha 2 hour show. Besides Textures, the following bands complete the line-up: Dreamscape, Ephel Duath and Voyager."

World Management and Symphony X would like to announce that the European Festivals for June in Sweden and Spain will unfortunately have to be cancelled due to severe illness. We Hope that Michael Lepond's surgery will go well and wish him a speedy and full recovery. "To whom it may concern. I have been diagnosed with Crohn's disease (an Inflammatory Bowel disorder) This has caused an obstruction in my small intestine, making it impossible to digest solid foods.Currently, I am hospitalized where they can feed me through an I.V. unit supplemented with a liquid diet. But, there is some good news The doctors tell me, that with a surgical procedure, they will have me back to 100% in about 6 weeks. And, although it is a chronic disease, this procedure will make it much easier to control its effects in the future. I want to thank the band, the crew, the fans and everyone else involved for your understanding and support during this tough time. You will all make my healing process much easier and I'll be back on the bass in no time.
