Dutch symphonic metallers Epica posted on their official website the first teaser from the band's upcoming album, Requiem For The Indifferent, due to be released on March 9th, 2012, in Europe and four days later in North America via Nuclear Blast Records. According to Danish Universal Music, US hard-rockers KISS will release a 35th anniversary deluxe version of their Destroyer album on February 27th in Europe and one day later in North America. The double album should also have a normal version as well as a re-mixed version by the original producer Bob Ezrin. Fans will also be able to hear songs which were left out from the original version of the album which will be released with its original cover.

Norwegian black metal one-man band Burzum has announced the release of a new album entitled Umskiptar in May via Byelobog Productions. The artwork and tracklist of the album were also revealed.

Varg Vikernes posted the following on the band's official website: "Burzum persists. A new Burzum album, titled Umskiptar (Metamorphoses), is scheduled for release in May 2012 on Byelobog Productions. Umskiptar consists of 65 minutes of skaldic metal, recorded in Grieghallen Studio in Bergen in September 2011."
