Frank Watkins is best known for handling the bass in Obituary from 1989 to 2010. Both Obituary and Frank's 'current' band Gorgoroth are mourning the death of their bass player. Gorgoroth lost their bassist Bøddel at the age of 47. While they didn't say anything about the circumstances of his death, Frank was battling cancer and will be missed; condolences to his friends and family.

The successor of 2012's successful album, Legend, will be entitled Nucleus and is said to be pursuing the more rawer side of the older recordings as well as the slightly modern path of the younger past. The group will enter a studio in Dortmund, Germany on October 19th to begin recording the follow-up to their 2012 album Fire & Damnation for an early 2016 release. The band will once again work with producer Waldemar Sorychta (Sodom, Moonspell, Grip Inc., Tiamat).
