Epica - Launch Live Video

Epica have recently posted online an official live video from their show at Ancienne Belgique in Brussels, Belgium. The Dutch symphonic metal act release then the second song that was recorded live earlier this year during the European Enigma Tour sold-out show there. The video was shot and edited by Jens De Vos and his team at Panda Productions. The show was recorded by Ace Zec and mixed by Epica producer Joost van der Broek. Cryptopsy - New EP Available For Streaming

Montréal extreme metallers Cryptopsy release their new EP, The Book Of Suffering Tome 1, today on October 30th. This is just the first in a series of EPs the band has in store for their fans. Kampfar - Debut First Ever Video

Kampfar will release a new album soon called Profan quickly after Djevelmakt came out. Indie Recordings will release it on Friday the 13th of November but there is some new songs to hear before the official release. Scar Symmetry - Bassist Quits

Scar Symmetry has announced the amicable departure of bass player Kenneth Seil, who has been with the group since 2004 as one of the founding members. He will now pursue other things. The Swedish metal band has recruited Andreas Silén on bass and Benjamin Ellis on guitar (of Propane Headrush and Bloodshot Dawn fame respectively) to help them on their tour with Eluveitie and Epica.

Ereb Altor - Covers Album Coming In February

Ereb Altor chose to record 7 Bathory classics for a special vinyl only release entitled Blot - Ilt - Taut (which is old Swedish and means "Blood - Fire - Death"), where they praise with reverence and much respect the mighty works of Tomas "Ace" Börje Forsberg (Quorthon) who sadly passed away in 2004. Tribulation - New Video Online

Huntress - Guitarist Denies Breakup Rumors

Fans were saddened to hear that the heavy metal band Huntress was apparently calling it quits. The announcement came from frontwoman Jill Janus, who posted a short message to fans on her Facebook page. Earlier this year, she revealed her battles with not only bipolar disorder and schizophrenia, but also uterine cancer that resulted in a hysterectomy. In her post, since deleted, Janus said that due to her health concerns she was "packing it up." She cited a desire to move on and create new music "on my terms." Guitarist Blake Meahl later did some damage control and released a statement saying that they're not breaking up and the band's tour with Black Label Society in December is still happening.

Witchcraft - Reveal New Album And New Single Details

Swedish stoner doomsters Witchcraft recently announced the release of their new album, Nucleus, the first in four years. Now they have unveiled the release date, tracklist and cover for the band's eagerly anticipated record. So, you have a bit of eye candy before the music comes. The first single, The Outcast, will be released on 7" vinyl (black, clear) and as digital download on December 4th and will exclusively be available via the Nuclear Blast Mailorder. The single will include the Nirvana cover "Even In His Youth".

Fallujah - Begin Recording New Album

On the heels of the success of their latest album, The Flesh Prevails, progressive death metal masters Fallujah are currently at Sharkbite Studios with producer Zack Ohren (Animosity, Suffocation, All Shall Perish, Decrepit Birth) recording its follow-up. The as-of-yet-untitled-album is set to be mixed and mastered next month with Mark Lewis (DevilDriver, Cannibal Corpse, Whitechapel, The Black Dahlia Murder, Carnifex) in Orlando, Florida at Audiohammer. Fans will get new music from the band next year.
