Unleashed - New Album Cover Art And Tracklist Revealed
Nuclear Blast Records press release
Legendary Swedish viking/death oufit Unleashed just announced the tracklist and the artwork of the upcoming album Odalheim.
With Odalheim Unleashed not only present the successor of As Yggdrasil Trembles in the year 2012, but also continue telling their post-doomsday story, of course embedded into the Norse mythology. After the mighty world tree Yggdrasil had trembled and rung in the end of the world, Fimbul winter followed: Three years of darkness and coldness, during which Mother Nature took back what was rightfully hers. This caused the end of life as we know it. Ragnarök. But the warriors who've survived will build a new world out of the old one's ashes. Right here, the story of Odalheim begins.
With Odalheim, the Swedes release their eleventh studio album. Once more, the mighty line up consisting of Johnny (bass & vocals), Fredrik (lead guitar), Tomas (rhythm guitar) and Anders (drums) has created a multifarious and hymnal album in typical Unleashed manner.
Johnny commented the artwork: "The artwork is made by Sebastian Ramstedt, just like our previous 4 albums. It shows the new world Odalheim, at the break of dawn at Birka shores, and just before the attack of White Christ. The concept of the album is taken from the book by the same name. A book I haven't yet had the time to complete."
Odalheim was produced by Fredrik Folkare and recorded in the Swedish Chrome Studios.
Odalheim tracklist:
01. Fimbulwinter
02. Odalheim
03. White Christ
04. The Hour Of Defeat
05. Gathering The Battalions
06. Vinland
07. Rise Of The Maya Warriors
08. By Celtic And British Shores
09. The Soil Of Our Fathers
10. Germania
11. The Great Battle Of Odalheim
Odalheim will be released on April 20, 2012 via Nuclear Blast.

Summoning - Update From The Band
Official press release
After a longer winter-sleep Summoning is back again and now works constantly for a new release. We promise that in the near future we will regularly update the homepage again, so it will we worth the costs to check the page in regular intervals.
The present situation of Summoning:
In the past years we have worked on new material just very rarely because of different reasons (partly personal, partly being not motivated enough) but since the last months ,we intensified the work for new material and realised that the old spirit is back again and we are very motivated for a cool new release and we are very committed in every terms of composing.
Meanwhile there are two songs which are fix starters for the album. Four or 5 songs are in a more advance state and we composed riffs for at least 10 or 15 songs in a very early state. By the way we still have one finished song from the last oath bound session which also will be in one or another way. so probably this time we are in the luck situation that we have more songs left, so maybe there will be some special limited fan releases beside the normal release, but this is of course just a wish right now.
We hope that until the end of this year most of the material for the new album can be finished. In the moment we have no concrete conception about the lyrical concept. All we can say right now is, that Summoning is still alive and middle earth will awake again.

Leaves' Eyes - Part Ways With Drummer, Replacement Announced
Official press release
Leaves' Eyes are proud to welcome Felix Born in the band! Unfortunately, Roland Navratil had to leave for private reasons, we wish him all the best for the future!
Felix commented: "I am really happy to announce that I am the new drummer of Leaves' Eyes. As I got the offer to do a jam session with the band I was highly motivated, because I love their music. The combination of grooves and nice melodies is exactly what I appreciate being a drummer. During the jam session I realized the fact that I wanted the job even more, because I felt very comfortable with the whole band. I am really happy about joining Leaves' Eyes and I am looking forward to seeing you all on the road soon!"
Liv added: "Felix convinced me straight away through his way of playing, for both Liv Kristine as well as for Leaves' Eyes. He is a highly talented drummer, probably one of the greatest talents in Germany, in the studio as well as on stage. He is a fresh breath to our music."
We also uploaded a video on Youtube introducing Felix at this location.
