Cannibal Corpse - Another New Song Online
"Scourge Of Iron," a brand new song from US metallers Cannibal Corpse, is available for streaming at this location.
Bassist Alex Webster commented: ""Scourge Of Iron" helps to show the song writing diversity on Torture. "Demented Aggression" is blazing fast and frantic, while "Scourge Of Iron" is a down tempo, pounding song. They're both death metal, but at opposite ends of the speed spectrum. Expect to hear this kind of variety throughout Torture. We've utilized many different tempos, rhythms, and feels in these songs with the goal of making an album that is varied and dynamic but also very brutal. On March 13th you'll get to decide whether or not we succeeded."
"Scourge Of Iron" comes off the band's forthcoming album, entitled Torture, which will be released on March 13 via Metal Blade Records. More details about the album were previously reported over here.

Bonded By Blood - To Enter The Studio
Earache Records press release
California's Bonded By Blood are due to enter the studio this weekend to begin recording their as-yet untitled new album.
The follow up to 2010's Exiled To Earth is being recorded with producer and former Machine Head/Soulfly guitarist Logan Mader (Devildriver, Five Finger Death Punch) at Silver Sound and Mt. Olympus Studios in Los Angeles. It will be the band's first album to feature vocalist Mauro Gonzalez and bassist Jessie Sanchez.
"We can't wait for everybody to hear what the new album has in store. It's definitely more diverse and we all had a blast writing it," states guitarist Juan Juarez. "It'll be the first record with Mauro and Jessie, who have been great additions to the line-up, and the four of us really connected well during the writing and rehearsing of this album. The playing on this album will be top-notch. We're glad to be recording in Los Angeles, and excited to work with Logan. We can't wait to get started and we hope everybody enjoys it as much as we do - watch for video updates from the studio! Yeah!"

Cryptopsy - Bassist Quits The Band
Guitarist-turned-bassist Youri Raymond of Canadian metallers Cryptopsy has issued the following statement on the band's MySpace page:
"I am officially announcing my departure of the band Cryptopsy. At this time, we feel it's in the best interest of both the band and I to part ways. As a musician, moving from guitar to bass was a great challenge, but honestly, I never really felt comfortable in that position and my motivation in general was stagnating.
I'm now moving forward and will release an album in 2012 on guitar/lead vocals with my band Unhuman and I hope Jon, Matt, Chris Flo and the new guy who will fill in in the bass spot the very best with the upcoming album and what might be the "real" Cryptopsy coming back! Thanks again fans and friends for your endless support!"

Dying Fetus - Begin Recording New Album
Official press release
John Gallagher, guitarist and vocalist of Dying Fetus, has announced that the group has entered the studio to record a new full-length album. The band will once again be working with long-time producer Steve Wright (Slipknot, Misery Index) at Wrightway Studios in Baltimore, MD.
Set to be released in mid 2012 through Relapse Records, the album will feature nine tracks and is a "return to roots" with production focused slightly more on slam than in the band's last few works. Thematically, the album is set to be a good old-fashioned piece of social and political commentary in the style of Dying Fetus as we have come to know. An official release date and album title will be announced shortly.
"The last album had some groove in it," stated John, "but was basically a lot of tech; this one is a return to form of older Dying Fetus albums, so to speak - more modern production though, of course." "Everything's tight," John adds; "...the sound is crushing, the drums are amazing."

Dokken - Sign With Frontiers Records, New Album On The Way
Frontiers Records press release
Frontiers Records is excited to announce the signing of Dokken for the worldwide release of the band's forthcoming studio album in the spring of 2012.
The cooperation between Frontiers and Dokken started with the release of the band's CD Lightning Strikes Again in 2007. The album marked a return to Dokken's signature style with melodic hooklines and blazing guitar riffs that epitomized the band's sound on such records as Tooth & Nail, Under Lock & Key, Back For The Attack and Dysfunctional.
"So far we have written 10 songs in only 8 weeks," says singer Don Dokken. "Usually we spend a year or more on our music. I can't explain why this time it came so fast, it just happened. So far the music is very uptempo and heavy, of course we know our fans like the classic Dokken sound and this is where our new music is headed. It's been a band of brothers doing what we love : music".
Dokken plans to finish their new recording by the end of February and go out on the road in june. "In a perfect world we would like to release the new album before the summer and then play the festivals in Europe. Then hopefully we can jump on a package tour in the US," tells Don Dokken. "We want to give everyone a great CD that will keep all music fans Rokkin' during these troubled times!
Dokken is now formed by Don Dokken on lead vocals, Jon Levin on guitar, Sean McNabb on bass and Mick Brown on drums.
