So far, I really love this album, but as is the case with most of what Steven Wilson creates, it's going to take a few more listens before I can be absolutely sure on how I feel about this.

And actually, after listening to this quite a few times, I am very nearly about to give it a 10, which I don't do often. This is probably my favorite of all his solo albums so far; he seems to have really outdone himself this time. For now I think I'll just give it a 9, but this rating may change in the future.

Finally got around to listen to it. It is really good prog, I must say. It's just not Porcupine Tree I'm afraid  Steve is amazing, some parts of this are genius, you can't deny that.

I'm giving one more point because some passages are truly gorgeous. However after multiple listens, I can't help to think that Steven's vocals are on a much much much lower level than its instrumentation. I grind my teeth every time he opens his mouth.

Absolutely the best steven wilson solo album, This is beautiful with more influence from Jazz and adding Marco Minnemann and other members, I love tracks (1,2,5 and 6) my final grade is "9.3" .

I really don't understand why everyone is calling this album a masterpiece... I mean, it's good and all, but hardly anything special. It just kinda plays off tropes from classic prog. The only thing I found really "standout" about it was the production, which was usual Steven Wilson greatness.

I wasn't particularly blown away by anything Porcupine Tree released, but this album definitely struck a chord with me (I realised around halfway into 'The Holy Drinker' that this was an excellent album). Maybe I need to revisit PT again...
