In Flames - Clayman
This was the first extreme metal I got into, so I have a special relation to it, but I still think it's the perfect combination with melodies and aggression. It is debatable if this could be accepted as death metal, though, and this is the last In Flames album I include on the list, although I love "Reroute To Remain" too. |

The Crown - Eternal Death
Melodic, but not too melodic and not in a Gothenburg-vein. A fast album with a dark atmosphere without use of keyboards. |

The classic death metal album. The riffs are really catchy and great for a death metal band not consider melodeath. I also love the epic feeling over the album. |
