Thumbs up: +1
This is my personal list of the best albums in 2012. Only full-length albums, no EPs or live albums.

1. Between The Buried And Me - The Parallax II: Future Sequence (So epic, so beautiful, such perfection and a stunning story. Complete awesomeness.)
2. Devin Townsend - Epicloud (A more "popier" version of Devin that works surprisingly well. It was a brave move by the Canadian but it paid of. Effervescent quality!!!)
3. Testament - Dark Roots Of Earth (A great follow up to the marvelous "The Formation of Damnation". Thrashy goodness from start to finish.)
4. Rush - Clockwork Angels (This album shows that the Canadian trio still have some strength left in their register. A fantastic progressive record.)
5. Overkill - The Electric Age (If "Ironbound" was no proof that Overkill is back in action then this is. Not a calm moment on the entire album.)
6. Gojira - L'Enfant Sauvage (Such grooviness and perfect timing is hard to find these days. A technical masterpiece)
7. Shadows Fall - Fire From The Sky (One of the biggest surprises this year. Not a single weak moment in this album.)
8. Sparzanza - Death Is Certain, Life Is Not (The band just keeps getting darker and heavier. And I love it.)
9. Herman Frank - Right In The Guts (Even outside the comfort in the main band Accept is Herman Frank delivering some great music.)
10. Accept - Stalingrad (Not as strong as "Blood of The Nations" but still a album that mother Russia would be very proud of.)
11. Engel - Blood Of Saints (The band is taking another step in the right direction. Industrial metal at its finest.)
12. Katana - Storms Of War (If Iron Maiden would have come from Japan then this is how they would sound like.)
13. Serj Tankian - Harakiri (More SOAD influences in Serj's third solo album. A wise decision that gives a great record.)
14. Grave Digger - Clash Of The Gods (A power metal album about ancient Greece is never wrong.)
15. The Very End - Turn Off The World (Such good quality in this dark heavy metal album.)
16. Woods Of Ypres - Woods 5: Grey Skies & Electric Light (The tragic of the lead singers death gives this album an extra level of magic.)
17. Katatonia - Dead End Kings (An album that makes the mouth of a gothic metal fan very wet.)
18. Battle Beast - Steel (No wonder this band once won Wacken Open Air. This is great stuff.)
19. Meshuggah - Koloss (The title is correct, this is colossal. As heavy as it can be.)
20. Ne Obliviscaris - Portal Of I (A very symphonic band that really surprised me. Has a bright future ahead.)
