Moonsorrow - Jumalten Aika
A mature and chilling listen from my favorite folk metal band. Ambient, biting, and epic, this album is an unforgettable experience from beginning to end. |

Dark Tranquillity - Atoma
A grower if I have ever heard one. These guys have taken their trademark melodic death metal riffs and melded them with atmosphere, crafting a great extension to their excellent backlog. |

Be'lakor - Vessels
My fist album from the band, and definitely not my last. Dark and brooding, while melodic and calm. A great album to listen to in the summer. |

Witherscape - The Northern Sanctuary
Dan does it again. A proggy listen with excellent melodic death metal riffs, this album reminds me of Swanö's early work. |

Allegaeon - Proponent For Sentience
One of my favorite newer metal bands; these guys have a lot for death metal fans to love. The Denver natives have a bright future in the scene. |
