And to respond to Guib, I like when bands experiment new things but I have the impression with Sleep Token and FIR that they are just making a collage of genres, that they are chaining them together without harmony.

I've discovered some good bands on the site without them having a large number of comments or ratings or even just views and I'm glad they were added.

I don't see the point of adding a band hoping it will get a lot of posts. What about the people who don't comment or comment very often? What about those who might stumble across it accidentally?

For Blessthefall, they haven't released an album in 6 years, yet as soon as the profile was added users rated albums, this is not the case for many bands that have released albums recently, even in more popular genres.

Representing doesn't mean complementing, we can't deny that some genres in metal are less represented on the site than others.

Posts aren't the only indicators of user (or visitor) interest. Many come to the site to discover new bands, not to comment. Taking posts into account as the only indicator means using the data you want to your advantage.

Its not about "completing" the database, it's about discovery, growth and opening the minds on what metal is and can be. Its different to me.
