Sadly, it has been reported that guitarist/vocalist and founder of the legendary band Manilla Road, Mark Shelton, has passed away aged 60. It was the band's singer Bryan Patrick who broke the news this morning. Mark Shelton performed for the last time in Germany at the Headbangers Open Air Festival. The festival has also released a statement confirming that that he passed away in the hospital after their show at the fest.

The German festival was the first festival bringing Manilla Road over to Europe and they are happy to be back next year to present songs from their new record, The Blessed Curse, in Balingen.
