US deathcore act Chelsea Grin have announced that they are working on a new EP. Also, tour musician Jason Richardson has been added to the band's permanent line-up.

The band issued the following statement on their Facebook page: "If you haven't noticed, Jason Richardson has officially joined Chelsea Grin as our new lead guitar player. He fits with as perfectly as a musician and friends, and couldn't be more excited for the future of CG with Jason being a part of it. Oh and btw, we start recording our new EP this week... You all are in for a treat."

US metalcore act Shadows Fall have finished recording their seventh album at Zing Studios in Westfield, Massachusetts, with producer/engineer and Killswitch Engage/Times Of Grace guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz, which was also involved in the writing process for this new album. The album is expected to be released in the spring through Razor & Tie.

American deathcore band Chelsea Grin have made an announcement in regards to the departure of guitarist Michael Stafford:

"Michael Stafford has recently decided that the hectic touring lifestyle is not for him, and among other personal reasons, has decided to step down as the lead guitar player for Chelsea Grin. This may have been obvious to a lot of you as he hasn't been with us since the All Stars Tour, but he has given us his final decision recently and we must move forward. Jason Richardson (Born of Osiris, ex-All Shall Perish) will be filling the position until further notice. Jason is one of the best guitar players around, and with us already being such good friends, he is more than a perfect fit. 2012 is going to be huge for us, so make sure to come out and see the new and improved Chelsea Grin!"

Pain Of Salvation is now complete, with the addition of their new guitarist Ragnar Zolberg. The band had this to say about the new addition: "We are certain that Ragnar will have everything that's needed to kick your asses on the upcoming tour, and our first four days of rehearsals only strengthened that feeling. He is an excellent guitar player and an outstanding vocalist, and he knows how to make use of those abilities while rocking out on stage. On top of that he is an awesome person. What's not to like?"
