It is a tasteful prog-metal album that does not brag about an insane level of technicality. This album may not excite an instantaneous emotional connection to your heart due to the lack of hooks. But the arrangement to make a good musical melange leads to the smooth instrumental transition between the parts of each track, which is jubilant to listen to.

I didn't like the vocals on this album. Musically it's fine though. If one is interested in something similar, listen to Nospūn's Opus instead (or too). It outclasses this album.

Fun, it's the vocals that I recognized here. I listened to the album semi-randomly and couldn't get past the fact that the vocals sounded decidedly familiar. Looking it up I was right that it's the singer of Karcius and their last albums have been excellent. Particularly the '22 one. Haven't made my mind up on this one, sounds a bit here and there but good in general.

I didn't know it was Karcius' singer which makes it odd that I didn't like this one since I actually like Karcius.

Might be the production and the whole mix. Something's bothering me about it and it doesn't do his voice justice.

Well, I'm very impressed, this is some great progressive metal. The songwriting is great, especially the guitar leads, I like the introduction of the wind instruments too.

Pretty good album, flute addition is great, as well as the instrumentation overall. Did feel like it meandered a bit at times, though.
Agreed with Nejde, this has nothing on Opus.

I enjoyed this album a lot but I agree that Nospūn was quite a bit better. I liked TesseracT and Obsidian Tide more too.

Funnily enough, I found this to be way better than Nospūn, and I also hear distinctly different approaches of prog by the two bands.
Comparisons aside, I actually enjoyed this album a lot. The prog rock combined with the heavier riffing is a success, and I loved the use of the extra instruments. If it didn't sound so compressed, it would be higher on my list.

I love when I go to leave a comment explaining my thoughts on the album, but then someone else has already explained it perfectly

In the midst of brutal death metal, dissonant death metal, thrash metal and black metal that is my playlist right now this comes as a welcome proggy break. However the wind instrument doesn't go with the overall vibe.
