Australia's Thy Art Is Murder will release their new album Dear Desolation this August 18th via Nuclear Blast Entertainment. The record was produced, engineered, mixed and mastered by Will Putney at Graphic Nature Audio in Belleville, NJ. The artwork was created by Eliran Kantor (Testament, Iced Earth, Sodom). Septicflesh - Share New Song, Announce New Album

The Greek metallers Septicflesh have finished working on the new album and are ready to share some details. The successor of Titan and the band's 10th studio effort will be entitled Codex Omega and is scheduled for a release on September 1st via Season Of Mist and Prosthetic Records. The symphonic metal masters have also presented the album cover and first track from the upcoming release, entitled "Dante's Inferno".

Nick Menza - Tribute Video On First Anniversary Of His Death

Sepultura - Documentary 'Sepultura Endurance' To Premiere This Month

Sepultura have their own documentary, "Sepultura Endurance", and it's finally going to premiere on Sunday, May 21st in Los Angeles at the Regent Theater beginning at 1 PM, PT, following a Q&A with members of the band. The documentary shares the band's evolution since the beginning as it showcases an in-depth look over the years including archival footage and interviews with Metallica's Lars Ulrich, Anthrax's Scott Ian, as well as younger artists influenced by the band, like Slipknot's Corey Taylor. Svartsyn - Detail New Album, Reveal Song

Swedish one-man black metal band Svartsyn has announced its first album in four years. To follow Black Testament, the band offers In Death, which is set to be released on the 9th of June via Agonia Records. The cover artwork was created by Chadwick St John (Arckanum, Horna, The Piper graphic novel), who already worked with the band on previous albums. Feast your eyes on it and enjoy the new track "Seven Headed Snake" as well.

Katavasia - New Album On The Way, Release First Single

Greek black metallers Katavasia have a new album on the way, following 2015's debut Sacrilegious Testament and they are streaming a new song called "Requiem For The Nocturnal Lover". The artwork in the video is probably the album's cover and you can see the name "Daemonic Offering", though neither the record's title nor the cover have yet been officially announced. Judas Priest - In The Studio Recording New Album

Metal gods Judas Priest have officially started recording their new album. Mike Exeter, who produced 2014's well received Redeemer Of Souls and was involved in recent Black Sabbath releases, is in the studio with the band, along with Tom Allom, producer of every Judas Priest release from 1979's Unleashed In The East until 1988's Ram It Down. Last but not least, Andy Sneap, responsible for albums by Accept, Testament, Nevermore and Exodus (just to name a few) is also there to twiddle the knobs.

Dark Angel - Drummer Gives Update On New Album

Dark Angel drummer Gene Hoglan spoke to KNAC.com earlier this week about their long-awaited new album, for which they have written five or six songs. The record will be the band's first since 1991's Time Does Not Heal, and will feature the Leave Scars lineup of Hoglan (drums), Eric Meyer (guitar), Jim Durkin (guitar), Ron Rinehart (vocals) and Michael Gonzalez (bass).

Bloodstock Open Air 2017 - First Bands Announced

The first bands have been announced for Bloodstock Open Air 2017! The organizers revealed a batch of Ronnie James Dio main stage bands for 2017, including their Friday night headliner! Amon Amarth will invade Catton Park shore as Friday night's headline band; landing the special guest slot on Friday are power metal kingpins Blind Guardian. Their set will be a UK exclusive for 2017. Other confirmed acts include Testament, Hatebreed, Whitechapel, Possessed and Hell.

Art X - New Project From Vocalist Gabriele Bernasconi

Following the split-up of Clairvoyants, the vocalist Gabriele Bernasconi focused all his energies on a new metal opera project called Art X, and releases now, by the Melville Records, its first record named Redemption Of Cain. The opera tells the biblical story of Cain and Abel from the point of view of Cain, and was partly inspired by Lord Byron's work "Cain - A Mystery" published in 1821.
