I like it and the first couple of listens were actually really enjoyable but it lost its composure fast and I ended up disappointed since it wasn't as good as I hoped it'd be.

RYM said Black Heart Rebellion was screamo (which I like, but wasn't that interested in looking for), and the name was cheesy enough so I thought it would be overproduced post-hardcore. Didn't bother checking until seeing it here. Apparently they've changed direction, because there's nothing screamo about this album. It sounds pretty unique. First casual listen didn't say much about songwriting, but I like the style.

Ha, yea, no way is this screamo. Maybe prior to this release they were. I love this album. Very original sound, I don't think I could tell you what other band they sound like. Give it another spin, it's that good.

Got something for you. Better yet, it's more of the Post-metal/Sludge sound you so thrive on.

That song is awesome. The middle bridge section is one of the best moments in any metal song I've ever heard - that is saying A LOT. As far as recommendations, that's a tough question you asked. SN8 really doesn't sound like anyone else. Lemme take a look at your collection (and mine) and see if I can find some things you may like.

I think I rated it to high at first listen. It's good but I don't think it will make my year end top 20...but you have now made me want to listen to it again!

I'd definitely recommend giving it some more listens, it's really unique stuff! It hasn't demanded my attention enough to make my own top 20 but it's still very enjoyable, I find it easy but intriguing listening.

Alright folks. What a year for metal. I cannot remember a year with so many new releases from my favorite bands. Some disappointed, others exceeded expectations. List has been updated/sorted. Top 10 is pretty solidified but the rest of list needs some more tinkering. Hope I provided some worthwhile recs...

I know you're a huge fan of post, so I'd recommend checking out Kultika. They may as well be a Cult of Luna clone, but it is pretty damn good. The Strange Innerdweller is the name of the album.
