Somewhat better than last year already!

Not very difficult

Well, with this first bands, I come back to Hellfest for 2014

Windir Sogna Metal ? Some old members of Windir doing some shows?

Trivium, Emperor, Carcass, Death (To All I guess), Behemoth, Iced Earth, Watain, Annhilator, - That is a somewhat enticing opening announcement

The guys of Vreid (that were all in Windir) will do a set of vreid and windir songs, the Windir ones with Valfars' brother like in the sognametal dvd. So more like a cover of a few songs in a Vreid show me thinks.


I really like the announcement... hope I will be able to attend.

And how can Pungent Stench be playing when they themselves have said that they reformed as 'The Church Of Pungent Stench' Hellfest should use the correct band name, it's like a couple of years ago when they said diSEMBOWELMENT would be playing when the band themselves said the band was called d.USK and would be playing the disembwoelment album.

it's Death To All who have already done some gigs. SO it's former Death members playing Death stuff but mostly stuff from after the first two albums. But they somehow dropped to To All part and now call themselves Death, which imo is a disgrace since Chuck WAS Death and not any of the other members. It's just as disgraceful as that band which calls themselves Thin Lizzy nowadays.

But they somehow dropped to To All part and now call themselves Death, which imo is a disgrace since Chuck WAS Death and not any of the other members. It's just as disgraceful as that band which calls themselves Thin Lizzy nowadays.

I think those Thin Lizzy members call themselves Black Star Riders now.

I think those Thin Lizzy members call themselves Black Star Riders now.

they only changed it when they decided to record new material. All those years before that they called themselves Thin Lizzy

On their facebook page they did a statement sometime ago about dropping the "To All" part, and if what they say is true, it was not intentional. Coz apparently, after they did the 5 date tour in NA (that was suppose to be the only DTA thing happing), the promoter that organised the "reunion thing" registered the Death To All name, asking the ex Death members a lot of money to use it. So when they decided to only use Death.

Personally, I would have come with something else if DTA was no longer available. Only "Death" as a logo is certainly more appealing, but wrong to do. Can't support that.

I find this to be pissing all over Chuck Schuldiner's legacy and a cheap cash-in by the people playing under the monicker of Death now and the even used the quite old Death logo with 666 in it, which is of course something not done if you want to pay tribute to Chuck. It is for a reason he dropped the 666 being the born-again (?) Christian he was.

HI Guys. With all due respect to everyone, I am just as shocked that HELLFEST would only use the DEATH logo in their ads. Although it is true that a) we use the DEATH logo on stage as it is the property of Perseverance Holdings Ltd. and for TM purposes it needs to be included to show the official nature of the tributes, b) this is actually contracted as DEATH: DTA, and DTA is meant to be prominently noted in all ads. I am horrified that several eager promoters have just dropped the DTA and placed DEATH logos on their ads, and I've taken this up with our European agent RTN. Many thanks to all of you for spreading this message & I again apologize for any confusion. Chuck's family & I would never, ever deliberately confuse anyone \m/ ERIC GREIF
